Love my roku...it's how I watch the Dodgers and Netflix. Was actually about to start watching Stranger Things this week because I've heard nothing but good things.

I'm worried the finale of The Night Of is gonna be some dumb sopranos ending where we don't find out if he's innocent or not, either through the trial or even through some flashbacks.

Yeah, that is a possibility. That would be an anticlimax, after the absorbing tale so far.

Btw, a decent film is the new one with Jeff Bridges, " Hell or High Water".
The story is good, and the acting all around even better.
No karate or blowing up anything, mind you, just an old pro whose got it down pat.
Worth your, uh...$12 or $13...whatever it is now in CA.

    GREAT SHOW.

Gabriel Macht is awesome. I've binge watched up through S3 E12 and it's entertaining.

Oh and the chicks are smoking hot too

Saw the latest Real Sports and a segment of what muderous cocksucker Rae Carruth left as his legacy to his son...cerebral palsy. Hard to believe they will be letting this piece of shit out when he's 42. Shoulda got 50 fucking years. This is what entitled athletes begets.
Moreover, a testament to the grandmother, who has stood by her grandchild after her daughter's murder. A true heroine, and a superior person.
    Definitely check it out.
I defy you not to get choked up.

They never explained why he got a shorter term. Isn't conspiracy to commit murder give you the same possible term in prison as actually pulling the trigger?

    Night of

Soooooo kinda disappointed in the ending. I mean it was pretty much what I expected to happen--leaving it to the audiences' imagination.
Not necessarily bad but I just personally like my finales to wrap everything up nicely and leave me without any questions.
A play by play of the crime woulda been nice but whatever

Also was kinda hoping that when Nas took that hit at the bridge he'd recall the entire night and realize he did or didnt commit the crime
Tbh i was hoping he realized he murdered her after that. Man that woulda been crazy lol
But during that scene at the bridge, I legit felt for Nas. That was probably the best night of his life up until he saw her dead.
And then we see how he's permanently fucked up from it. Community hates him/his family/muslims. Lost friends. College career seems to be a wrap. Mom and brother distant af from him. And drugs are his only escape. So sad.

great example of how the legal/jail system can damage a person. in end, great series

    Loved the final scene, too.
How, for love and caring, whether it be a person or pet, we will endure what we have to to have them with us.
The cat walking across the screen after the door closes and the life continues, was just another brilliant scene in a brilliantly written programming. Absorbing and exceptional.
    Now bring on Westworld.
    HBO rocks.

Thought it was hokey to let him after especially after his testimony that blew up in Chondra's face.

Thought the part of him getting out and being broken and alone was really good. Also Turturro's whole role was flawless.

Every house needs to have a Roku or AppleTV. I have my Roku setup in the bedroom and use it for Netflix, Hulu, MLB.tv, and HBO Now. It's a must have device these days.

My AppleTV is set up in the living room, so I run all the same stuff on it. Also rent movies and TV shows. I have basic cable because the cable company keeps giving it to me for free, but honestly I've watched cable only once or twice in the last year. And don't remember the last time I used a DVD player.

Good info, but only applicable if one is device literate. I would love see everything for free and expand the whole range, but haven't the foggiest.

Any one catch The Preacher on AMC? I'd never seen it until the season finale when they replayed the entire season in one day. I was intrigued.

btw, I think it just became available on Netflix.

Every time I see that actor's face, I get reminded of that stupid film, Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer. I wasted good money on that film....and I hold him partially responsible.

The guy Anthony Star on that show is a New Zealander. I point this out because last I saw of him he was playing a goofy idiot in a t.v series here, next he's cracking it in the states. Hard to take him seriously watching. Just started season 1.

On the same subject, if anyone watched True Blood, Anna Paquin's (kiwi) brother on the show was Vinnie on an Aussie soap opera called 'Home and Away' for years. He also played a goofball on that show. Although he plays the same kind of goofy character, hard to watch him personally.

The actor who plays Thor was also 'Kim' on Home and Away. Used to go around talking about his feelings and shit way too much. Also struggle to take him seriously.
