I'm fucking sick of opposing pitchers blasting Puig at will. Puig stands nowhere near the plate, he doesn't dive on the plate and the only reason he gets hit is because they hit him on purpose. 11x in his limited amount of plate appearances?

They have us over a barrel now too. These fuckers know we have a lot to lose retaliating and beating their fucking asses like we did to AZ earlier since we are playoff bound and they aren't.

I'm happier than shit that Puig took Cain to the next county after getting hit but that isn't enough IMO. Someone has got to pay! Posey needs to face Moylan and Moylan needs to break his fucking hand... per management. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

Puig definitely dives over the plate, but that's his approach and how he covers the plate while standing so far off it. if i were a pitcher i'd pitch him inside exclusively. lol i wouldn't ever go away. he's proven that he can get around and slap a ball that's inside as well, but his real damage comes on away stuff. inside and high would be my attack.

Like the SF announcers said, (and God help me, I do like them as they are fair and call it like it is truly is, even if it is anti-Giant), said "Puig did the right thing. Took the blow and made it a glancing blow as much as possible, shut his mouth, and answered the best way you can....by blasting a HR next time. that's how it's done".
More maturity last night than he's shown since he came up. My compliments, Yasiel.
And a loud "fuck you" to 1b umpire (the little fat fuck) who clearly blew Puig's beat out grounder deep into the ss hole. yeah, the guy made a nice play, but Puig was safe. Clearly.
And a great inning by my favorite player, Wilson. Must have been really emotional out there for the hirsute one, and he showed balls.
And Donnie, NLW title in his pocket or not, has to go out there and say something to that incompetent slob ump when his player is flat out screwed, IMO. To just sit there and do nothing is bogus.
All players deserve the manager at least going out there and giving the ump an earful when he blows one; I don't care if you have won the division or not at that point in time.
    No excuse for it.
    Nice one Ryu.
Oh, and I think AJ should use a bigger glove. Way bigger. Three feet in diameter maybe.

I agree Puig did well shaking it off and then sending one deep. And he hit everything hard, even his fly balls were line drives. The play at first looked like he was at worst a tie, and ties are supposed to go to the runner. The replay angle could have been better and you know they have plenty of cameras so why keep showing only that angle? Oh no replays per the umpires union? Fuck the umpires. And we agree fuck DBB also for not at least making a token defense of his player. Cowardly prick.

Wilson had a nice FU outing to end the season.

Ryu yet again put up a yeoman's efforts for the W. I worried a bit when he let them tie it up immediately after Puig's HR but fortunately Kemp settled things with his blast. And Ryu pitched deep so we didn't need more than Wilson and Jansen.

And I have no idea WTF is up with a catcher who can't catch... sheesh... at least it didn't cost us but still

    Wrong
He doesn't dive at the plate unless it's low and away and that's not the pitches that hit him obviously. And if you'd never pitch him away he'd murder you. Inside and high are a weakness only when he swings but those are not going to be strikes.

I'm not in the game thread during the games so I don't have to read the ridiculous little kid posts.

Yeah he stands pretty far from the plate actually... Whenever he dives he's still not over the plate

And sure his weakness is up and in, and low and away (I think loads of ppl can't hit that fwiw) but he's been gettin much more patient with time and any pitch intended for those locations that miss are in the bleachers

And Latos + Bailey make us their bitches.

We got swept last time by CINCI even with our best pitchers and lineup out there.

Hairston needed to prove he's not worthy of a roster spot?
Ellis wanted to try out the 3 foot catchers mitt?

Hairston doesn't even deserve to put on a big league uniform. Such a self proclaimed veteran presense. Class A douche who can't hit.

Braves have Kimbrel and Cardinals have Rosenthal... Some nasty closers out there, it's gonna be the first 8 innings that win or lose the game.

Well, maybe, idk. These games are so wack. My point was purely that most of the teams are gonna have a badass closer (including us)

The Braves and Pirates are the teams I'm less weary of. I think our pitching can manipulate the Braves high K% and the Pirates will shit their pants.
