He needs his own thread. I can't follow all of his ideas spanning from one thread to another.

Rosenthal just tweeted that the Dodgers are very close to finalizing a trade of Matt Kemp to Los Angeles. Los Angeles would get Kemp and cash and the Dodgers would get back J Howell, Rojas, Butera and SVS which helps to fill their needs in the bull pen, Catching, SS and a right handed bat to replace losing Kemps. Hold up seems to be the Dodger demands that Seeger be included to solve their long term SS need. As usual if this plays out as Rosenthal is reporting he will be once again be spot on about Dodger trades especially those regarding Matt Kemp.

I don't think Ethier is as bad as his 2014 numbers indicated. A little bias because Dre is my boy, but I feel like he'd be an above average hitter if given full playing time; or at least a platoon. Yet again, it comes down to the Dre vs Crawford debate.

Dre should keep his mouth shut to the media with his so called demands. For the money he's making I demand that he do something other than ground out to 2nd. I would ship his ass to Minnesota and see how he likes the cold or maybe japan

Good for him. I see Nothing wrong with it. At least he isn't acting like a little bitch about it and whining endlessly about how unhappy he is. He put it out there. And he did it in the OFF SEASON. I see nothing wrong with that. If anything, it gives ISIS and Drew more work this winter.

He had a moron for a manager that should have played him more when The Pig was hitting like Eugenio Velez in September and he never made it an issue.

It's the off season. Now is the time to address issues or respectfully voice your thoughts.

And I would not call what he said a demand

    yeah, have to agree
makes it even more impressive how he kept his mouth shut last year
would have been real easy (almost understandable) to have spoken up once he got into DBB's doghouse
but he kept quiet for the benefit of the team
really a shame he lost his swing along the way
a team first guy with a lot of fire
    go figure

He pays someone to express his thoughts for him. It's his agent and I'm sure he's well paid seeing that contract that he got him. Ethiers job is to play ball when he's asked to. He's not on a rookie deal or arb eligible. That said he gets paid regardless. His voicing his opinion so that he can feel special for being in the paper again does nothing but make it harder to dump his ass. Boohoo, maybe if he wants to play full time he should have his agent figure out away to get him out of his deal then he can go try and find someone to let him play. Until then he should stick to learning how to hit again

What demands ? how many MLB players are training right now hoping to be a back up? How many college, high school and little league players are dreaming of being a back up and getting to pinch hit in the World Series. It is no secret that we have to many outfielders with major league contracts and a elite minor league prospect and it is the height of the off season trading period. He wants to start and earn his high salary so he can shut up fans complaining about it. Wha does raise an eyebrow for me in his comments is about what was tried and in his words didn't work. I wonder if that was a knock on Puig down the stretch and in the playoffs even while struggling.

Or he should have a manager that knows when to rotate players and even sit them when they suck for an entire month.

Or he should have hired Dave Stewart and then whined and cried about it like a little bitch when it didn't go his way DURING THE SEASON and creating a distraction while making it all about himself like Kemp did.

Can't wait to see the Chinchilla's me me me hypocritical attitude get traded away.

I would take Dre's team attitude over The Chinchilla any fucking day.

I give Puig one more season to figure it out and if he doesn't, fuck him too.

The Kings (and yes, the Fkags in Castro) have shown what kind of players win Championships. It isn't the
"I just want to win talk".

It is guys that buy into to the team concept and lose the selfish "what about me?" bullshit during the season.

    One team. One goal.

That's just too hard for some mental midgets on the MLB level.

I agree, props to Ethier for not being a distraction last season, and this is absolutely the right time to bring up these issues.

I find it sad that his solution to a starting job is to get traded. He didn't lose his starting job because we have too many OFers, he lost his job because 13-14 Ethier isn't 09-10 Ethier.

i'd settle for in between, literally and figuratively... '11-12 ethier
yeah the HR's we're down from the prior years
but he still averaged 16/76 and .288/.359/.442
i think most of us would take that
