    Said it in another thread but we are AT BEST a distant #3 in the NL.

    Not even a TB anti jinx thread can save these bums from the Cards and Pirates. If they even get there.

    Cards and Pirates are top notch. We are not in that class. Not even close.

    lol, and i answered in that same thread that you could make an argument that the cards/giants/nats/pirates/mets were all better
    we can now add the astros to that list

    You know the Giants have done pretty good in seasons recently when they've struggled against teams with winning records. They've even won a few World Series, quit a few.

    Not worried about our record against above .500 teams at all. I just think our team is far inferior to the other BL powers.

    I feel the same way TB.

    I'm normally go with the flow, not too worried about the team guy. I make dumb jokes about these losses. But they're playing really bad and going up against teams like the Cubs and gnats in the coming weeks might put us in a hole we may not get out of. They're playing fucking terrible right now and as ford said a while ago, they have too much talent to be playing like this so close to September.

    Turn it around you dumb fucks!

    This recent stretch reminds me of the 8 game losing streak in 2008 with Manny and 2013 right before the streak where it was super shitty even with Puig being hot.

    Of course those two were followed up by some of the most exciting runs by the Dodgers. But having to depend on something like that just leaves you to be disappointed. I think I would consider myself a generally optimistic person and just don't feel that good about the rest of the season. You only have to make it to the playoffs to get a chance and luckily the Giants have been worse but man, it's been a shitty week

    finally able to hand the ball to kenley with a lead and he blows it

    Can't say we're playing good at all recently. But it doesn't really matter if we're struggling in August if we still make the playoffs. Again "the best team" usually doesn't win in October so does it really matter where we rank? All that matters is making the playoffs, which is still possible.

    What is a sense of "urgency" really? Do they swing harder? Run faster? Lol. What on earth can you do differently? Focus more? Why wouldn't you be focused in the first place?
