just a matter of time but yes he is letting him play probably until he gets blazing hot then heyward comes of the IL
Was thinking the same thing. Lux is looking at home at second, too. Also noticed Mookie cut out the sidearm lollipop throws to first. Infield defense might be OK afterall.
Rather see a young pitcher like Stone stay in the rotation instead of a retread like Paxton. Paxton could be valuable later in the year when Buehler and Kershaw are back pitching limited innings. Paxton and Yarborough will be very valuable in that scenario.
Good idea. Stone looks like a hardass, all business, and that's OK with me. And the long haul and summer doldrums won't effect his young ass as much. His non grabass approach is refreshing, actually. He'll probably be turned out though. Could be wrong, but I don't see CK going 6-7 innings pretty much anymore... lke 4, possibly 5 solid would be great. Granted, he might have a momentary burst of old Clayton a game or two, but a two pitcher game with Paxton or Yarborough on the tail end sounds like a very savvy approach. Which means: fuggeddaboudit.
agree w our young pitchers and Stone looks to be developing stones atm but after a few tough seasons Paxton looks pretty good to me or am i missing something?
Bottom half coming through today, including a rare contribution from Taylor. Glasnow looking good. Oh, and a 119 mph single off the bat of Ohtani. Hardest hit ball so far this year.
Any update on Glasnow, since the trainer came to the mound when they pulled him? He was at 95 pitches, so hopefully just precautionary.
