It's his future but tonight it was because Rondo didn't play HOWEVER he was awesome. 31 pts, 9 rebounds but only 2 assists which could be easily explained by poor shooting.
so glad we kept slenderman on the squad can't believe his name ever came up in trade conversations all of the sudden the court seems so small gonna be fun
nice to see someone having fun like that how can you not love this guy? he’s playing a video game on the court
Hart basically has to start, it looks like the starting unit of Rondo/LeBron/Ingram/Javale/KCP has trouble rebounding and we know Hart is an excellent rebounder. Think once Zo is back they won't have to start Hart, but they could and have a couple great rebounding guards in the backcourt initially to start games, at least. Zu has definitely transformed his body while not playing. He looks good. Luke put him in before Beasley last night. Maybe Luke wasn't happy with Beasley's effort in those first two games either? Hopefully Zu gets a real opportunity, at least while Moe is down with the knee
Don't like how Ingram missed those free throws at the end of the game the other day. Obviously, just preseason and Kuz saved him anyway, but he was missing a bunch of critical free throws last year. If he's gonna be one of their primary ball handlers/scorers, they've gotta be able to trust that he'll make his free throws. Choking at the free throw line will be an easy way to put himself on the trade block for Anthony Davis at the deadline.
Informative piece https://bleacherreport.com/articles...idered-an-eventual-favorite-for-anthony-davis To varying degrees, I think LAL's top 3 young talents are special. Who's the least special? Have to say Kuz, which sucks to say, but he's just mainly a gunner/scorer. He can pass, but doesn't look like a guy you're running your offense through or a consistent playmaking type and of course he has to improve a lot defensively as well. Zo, with his size and above average athleticism, and ability to positively impact the team on both ends of the floor..value wise, I think the only thing holding Zo down would be how much money he makes per year compared to Kuz and now maybe the health of his knee as well. But Zo's level of specialness is greater than Kuz's, IMO. Anyway, if LAL wants to trade for Anthony Davis at the deadline, at least one of the young guys is more than likely getting moved. The Pels will probably want Ingram and Kuz..if I'm LAL I'd be willing to give them Kuz, but not Ingram. Can't have the most special kid, not when Rich Paul can just steer Davis to LAL in the summer of 2020 as a FA. I'd offer Kuz + Zubac + Bonga + KCP + Beasley + Nance's trade exception + future draft picks for AD. A lot of moving parts, but mainly due to NBA salary matching. Don't know if the Pels could get better than that offer if Rich Paul is letting other interested teams like the Celtics know that AD would be a rental before leaving for LAL in FA. All that said, Magic has made it known that nobody is untouchable and he loves Kuz a ton, he may think Kuz is better cut out for LA than Ingram is? Some in the FO do reportedly feel that way, that Ingram may ultimately be too soft natured. Carolina guy Worthy loves Ingram though and would probably be unhappy with him leaving. Either way, the fact that Julius is already with the Pels probably increases the odds that they'd want to make a deal with LAL to strike up some instant chemistry between Julius and whichever of the kids they get in return. Maybe the Pels wouldn't ask for 2 of LAL's top 3 young players, seeing as how they've pretty much already gotten Julius from LAL? But it'll definitely be easier to replace Kuz as opposed to replacing what Ingram and Zo can do. AD - LeBron - Ingram is the best front court in the league, IMO, or at least until Cousins proves he's back. But LAL would still have Rondo, Zo, Hart, Lance, and Svi for the backcourt. Throw in Moe Wagner and that's a strong 9 man rotation even after shipping out 5 guys for AD.
Looks like the new city edition jerseys for LAL will have pinstripes and be blue-ish, a nod to the Yankees. Have no doubt that LeBron had a hand in Yankees inspired jerseys, having compared LAL to the Yankees so much. Guess we'll find out if the uni leak is real soon enough LAL VS the Warriors tonight, Zo returns, T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, ESPN
