Smh Snoop is out of control..says he wants guys traded and " shipped out on a slave ship. " Racist. Lol Ultimately, I'm right there with Snoop. He's usually pretty accurate when it comes to LAL. As soon as he kicked Pau in the ass in 2011, Phil backed it up by punching Pau in the chest for getting manhandled by Carl Landry and Kupchak tried to ship Pau off for CP3 afterwards. Know when to fold'em. Definitely rather build around a 25 yr old AD than any 2 young players this team already has. Easy decision. Especially if AD immediately helps draw a 26 yr old Kyrie over. But will Danny Ferry play ball? Toronto was a special case, failed enough with Derozan to just say the hell with it for Kawhi.
while lot of what its. were always gonna sign someon or trade for them. PG, Leonard, and now davis. davis wants to come here right? so just wait till 2020 and keep the young guys
@MirjamSwanson Zubac after the Clips took care of business vs. the Knicks: "That's how we gotta be. When I was with the Lakers, we didn't have nights like this. Every game was a close game for us, but now with the Clippers, this team is really locked in, every possession against every team." Cold truth. Team seems all over the place most games and a lot of blame is on Luke. No reason for them to struggle so much vs teams in the lottery.
Still better than the Lakers after losing Chris Paul, Blake Griffin,Deandre Jordan, and Tobias Harris Depressing.
Fire Luke. Trade LeBron for AD. Sign Kawhi. Bring Kuz-BI-Zo bac. Fill out the rest with shooting and defense.
Luke and how the AD discussions were handled are the main problems. But the youth with their lack of balls is also a problem.
LeBron's injury, maybe? Bad as Luke is, they smacked the Warriors on Christmas and held the 4th seed before LeBron went down. We needed the youngsters to step up after LeBron got hurt and they didn't. Luke didn't have them ready to play, but they have to be held responsible as well. This is the 3rd year in a row in which Ingram didn't show up until the new year..yet somehow we're supposed to build around him
I get it. But 40 years from now the Clippers will either be in Seattle or looking for their 1st championship, likely both
Also, if the Clips do make the playoffs they lose their 1st round pick, so their winning culture is about to lead to a L in the long run. It's sort of Kawhi or bust for them this summer as well. Anyway, 110% prepared to see the kids offered for AD this offseason. They all have positive qualities, but the negatives are major red flags. Zo with his inability to stay healthy, horrendous free throw shooting that'll see him benched in tight games late and inconsistent aggression. Ingram with his questionable motor, inability to shoot 3pters with consistency and inconsistent use of his length. When the championship window opens with LAL, young players have to shape up fast. Kuz annoys me the least of the 3 because he's balls to the wall and you can tell he's attacking his development in all aspects and at least wants to be great. Can't expect a whole lot more from a late 1st round pick. I assume the Pels will want Kuz. If Ingram or Zo is left over after an AD trade, and LAL has managed to land Kyrie ( which Stephen Jackson said today is a very real possibility..Kyrie is like his little brother, so he would know), I'd be all for dealing Ingram or Zo for shooting..maybe an Otto Porter or somebody like that. A young vet with playoff experience that can just shoot the basketball with consistency and not be terrible defensively. But if all of the kids remain with LAL, we're probably @ plan D or worse at that point I would have to think. As for LeBron..only he can come off a serious injury, average a 20+ppg triple double since returning, slam down dunks where his head is 5 inches away from the rim @ reportedly 280lbs and have fans say he's falling off. His defense leaves a lot be desired, but it's not what you wouldn't expect under the circumstances. When I look over at the Warriors and see them hiding Curry defensively..it is what it is. No team is perfect. The Clips potentially making the playoffs just shows how weak the bottom of the west has gotten and of course, Durant is heading east, so the top will take a hit.
Would like to get a big guard that can defend both guard spots well to team with Kyrie in the backcourt..one that can at least shoot free throws, bring the ball up and distribute..that has some experience. Don't really know who that is as of yet, but if it's a trade then he's probably coming from the east. Not a guy who needs a certain amount of shots to be valuable or do his job. A worker bee. Feels like I've pretty much described Ricky Rubio here, and he is a free agent. Maybe he could be had for the MLE worth roughly as much as Rondo made this year. Rubio and Kyrie in the backcourt..try for Taj Gibson @ the vet minimum since he's 34 and still looking for his 1st ring. Tough former SC/Valley guy may be willing to return for a shot. Then LeBron and AD. And that's the starting 5, at least.
I'm numb to this shit now. cant wait til bron and our GM tandem scapegoat Luke like hes was our biggest issue
Oh and Luke is absolutely terrible Coming out of timeouts with plays for Javale fadeaways Arizona's next volleyball coach
Pelicans out there fucking up there own draft position 8-8 since AD requested a trade SAC beats the Knicks without Bagley..the same Knicks that beat the Lakers without LeBron
Fire Luke today. Let Shaw take over. Start Lonzo, let him run the team. Go small, lay to your strengths. Watch Bullock get open 3's like mad. Use bigs sparingly, as needed. PG: Lonzo, Rondo SG: Bullock, KCP SF: Ingram, Lance PF: Kuzma, Hart C : LeBron, Wagner, Muscala, Javale, Chandler
Lonzo is injured so he's not starting anything except possibly crochet. He won't be back for another week or two min. The season is over.
