And George just had surgery on both shoulders..had surgery on his knee last offseason. Lou Williams is supposed to be a winner all of a sudden..guy's played for 5 different teams since 2014. The board man is literally the only guy on their team that's won anything. Very little playoff success over there.
With a healthy Klay back at 100% what he was, yes. But going back to Livingston, he tore up his knee bad and was never quite the same. So who knows. Also even though they got DLo they really lose out on defense. Seth and DLo at the point is a defensive liability and their games don't match. DLo is all pick and roll and that isn't what GS does. They also lost Iggy and his defense and experience with that DLo trade. When you look at it, GS is an older iteration of the old Warriors....when Klay comes back. But is that better than the current Lakers team or Clips? That's hard to say. This coming season is not GS' year. Klay will be out most of the season. And it is a question mark even after Klay returns because we don't know what kind of Klay will be back.
2 year deal for Kawhi. Thought he'd go long term because of his health issues, but short term is probably smart given that it's the Clippers. Can opt out of the Clipper curse pretty quickly
All else fails, general mileage is going to take them down. 5 trips to the Finals in a row. They've added some youth and new energy, but that also means inexperience, so the GSW FO would have to see it as a win if they're able to get the 4-seed or better and lock in home court. Steph, Draymond and Klay should be spent.
They were a 50 win playoff team last year than added two great players. Paul George was a first team all nba player last year, Kawhi is one of the best. Of course they should be among the title favorites
for the supermax in 2 years that's why. Probably not worried about injuries since KD and Klay just got max deals. Can always go back to the Raptors for a max
I love this deal for OKC. They get two first round picks and two pick swaps out of it. Now they have something like 5938 picks in the next 6 years. Wouldn't be surprised to see CP3 bought out.
Rockets went for it. I dont blame them. They had to do something drastic and they did. Westbrook still better and younger than Paul. So they at least tried. Gonna be a shitshow though
Bought out with how much. Hes owed like 143 million. How much would it take and how much is okc willing to pay. I think they'd just rather keep him for 2 more years then buy him out for less money while they rebuild. He will at least keep them somewhat interesting to lit those fans in the seats. Cp3, gallo, Adam's SGA isnt God awful.
Oh shit. Didn't realize he was 3 years /$159M. Can we officially stop calling Daryl Morey a genius? I'd still go full tank and try to get some talent with their own draft picks. CP3 is probably going to win you 10-15 extra games if he plays.
