Fangio gone..time for the Bears' D to go ahead and take a hard step back. However, of course, the RAIDERS see Fangio on Monday Night
They're going to whip ass his into shape. He'll either work the way they want him to work or he won't see that money. Culture is huge going into Vegas and they know it
I just can't imagine this situation getting much better if it's already this bad before 1 game is even played. Raiders have nice young pieces and two first rounders next year....we didn't give up that much for him, I say just move on and focus on what we have in front of us.
Think you have to separate Mayock from Chucky here. At least on the surface and how they're playing this. Mayock has been the one cracking the whip publicly. Well, the initial time anyway. AB publicized this one with Mayock. But if it gets worse, Mayock just takes more of his money until he gets in line
Schefter says there are those around the league that believe the team could look to suspend him and void his deal, cut him loose *could They'd better find a trade. Send him to Jax for Ramsey. Somethin
I can't imagine anyone would want to trade for AB at this point. Raiders welcomed him with open arms, the QB couldn't have kissed his ass any harder, and they gave him a ton of money for him to only keep up his fuckery. I like this idea: @RealTannenbaum The significance of a suspension is that it would void (assuming normal contract language) his $29,125,000 in contract guarantees. However, if he's on the Active Roster on opening day his $14,625,000 '19 salary becomes guaranteed because he's a Veteran. They could suspend him and then release him and then they would owe him nothing in terms of guaranteed money. The Raiders in all likelihood would try to recoup their $1,000,000 signing bonus as well.
Reminder: the Pats made the Steelers an offer for AB, but the Steelers didn't want him to land with the Pats. If the RAIDERS void AB's contract and make him a FA..Brady may be throwing to AB by week 2.
Just saying. I know it's en vogue to want to release AB right now, but that could very well mean the best WR of his generation joins the consensus GOAT QB. RAIDERS need to slow play this and just straighten him out. Not lengthen Brady's/Belichick's reign
I would think the Pats are happy with where they are at WR wise now that Gordon is back in the mix. BB would have even less tolerance for AB than our NFL Network GM.
Belichick was right there in line for AB when the Steelers started taking calls. As long as AB isn't gunning people down like Aaron Hernandez they'll take him and give him a run. Sit him next to Brady and hope he can get through to him. Rumor was that the Pats offered their 1st round pick for AB. A 1st. That is high interest. Belichick once coached LT..the real LT. Cokehead beast LT. And he admitted that he gave LT his own set of rules
I'd have to seriously consider ever watching the NFL again if that happened. It would feel like the Pats were pulling the strings on AB to get him on the low while we get left behind looking stupid. Wouldn't put it past those dirty MFers.....
Exactly my thoughts right now. Because they shorted Brady on his contract this year. Man, Belichick is not as strict as people make him out to be. He has a sense of humor and everything. He's just ruthless about his personnel decisions. If AB is going to land with the Pats, the RAIDERS better be getting the Pats' 1st or 2nd rounder. Which would still hurt because AB and Brady are winning multiple Super Bowls
So to sum it up: 1. Gives himself frostbite on his feet 2. Makes a huge stink about wearing a different helmet 3. Misses practice and a walk-through 4. Gets fined and posts the fine to social media with an aggressive message towards the Raiders 5. Threatens to punch the GM in the face for getting fined and is held back from the one dude that probably gave him CTE(Burfict) And we've played 0 games.
They just have to find a trade if they aren't going to keep him and straighten him out. I would call Jax about Ramsey. If they release AB outright, we're all done. Everybody. The whole league. Except the Pats.
