Vegas getting a little playoff excitement from that hockey team of theirs while Mandalay is seemingly giving birth to a monster stadium across the street Have to wonder when MLB and the NBA will land Manfred likes the market
It is a states rights issue now. So states have to make laws against it. If they allowing weed they will allow betting. Lots of taxes to be made from victims.
Victimless crime has a victim. The person with the vice committing the victimless crime is the victim. I never said that being a victim was not a choice. Being a victim is usually a choice we make cleanly.
Solid Game 1 final last night, 4 or 5 lead changes Vegas riding to a title in their 1st year is a mockery though Great for the city of LV, for sure, waking up a market sports-wise
If it were a sport I cared about I’d be upset about an expansion team winning the championship in the first year. Definitely minimizes the accomplishment.
Same. Was a solid contest, but I don't care about hockey either. Just mostly interested in what's going on in LV. But yeah, that's going to be a sad day for the NHL, if and when expansion LV brings The Stanley Cup to LV in year 1. Although, the RAIDERS will surely appreciate the Knights for having LV buzzing about sports before they land. NHL loses..NFL wins..shocking
Vegas wasn't constructed as expansion teams of the past. It had the pick of much better players, many of whom were salary cap casualties. Also didn't hurt that one of the best in goal of this era (Fleury), rediscovered his mojo. To steal from the great Muddy Waters, he got his mojo workin'.
Seattle will be afforded the same if the vote goes their way in a few months, but I don't think anyone will be expecting them to just win the title immediately. What LV is doing is totally unexpected. NFL actually had similar conditions when Carolina and JAX joined and both teams fared pretty well early, but not this well. It was a sad day for MLB to a degree when the Marlins, est. 1993, won it all in 1997. That said, we'll see if LV can finish up
Chris Tomasson@christomasson I talked to free-agent LB Mychal Kendricks, who arrived for #Vikings visit yesterday and flies out tonight. He had dinner last night with brother Eric at Minny Italian restaurant. He said he’s next visiting Oakland and then will go to Cleveland and make decision by end of week. Good luck, @VRP You probably don't need it though with his brother recruiting
Visiting the Browns last sort of makes it seem like he's building the market/setting the bar for them to surpass since their cap picture is better than most. I don't even know how the RAIDERS are going to make a competitive offer, would be weird since Mack is still waiting for his money
We have some space this year but Diggs, Hunter and Barr need to get paid next offseason. I’d rather have all of those guys long term than Kendricks obviously
