So be it. But the Brits put their stank on it for so long that I keep the evil intact ....
Hill was banished pretty much immediately after the audio was leaked, which was almost a month before OTAs were even slated to begin. They just wanted to cut ties with him after the audio dropped, even drafted another receiver fairly high in the draft on that very day
They didn’t “want” to do that or they would have. It doesn’t make business sense to do that when you know he will just get picked up by someone else ala Kareem Hunt. They drafted the WR as insurance just in case and also because Sammy Watkins might not be a Chief beyond 2019-2020. Like once again, it was the off-season, like why not let it play out and see what comes of the investigations? All they did was tell him he couldn’t be around the rest of the team, like anyone else would
No..no one can pick Hill up while he's suspended by the team. We're talking team suspension right now..not releasing him. Look, there's no legit way to defend KC or the NFL in this matter. " Timing " doesn't work either. If KC just wanted to make sure Hill wouldn't show for OTAs..wait and banish him in mid-May, before OTAs begin. But no..they banished him immediately following the audio release, almost a month before Hill was set to return to the team. And they did it because this is the team that dealt with not only Hunt, but worse..Jovan Belcher.
It was literally all for PR purposes, that’s it. No reason to cut him before gathering all information. It only looks bad in the eyes of the ignorant who insist on criminalizing and not let due process play out.
It looks bad because Hill is on tape threatening a female that he's already beaten. The fans that can't grasp that look bad..or ignorant.
And of course, we now find out that Hill's GF wouldn't come forward and cooperate any further. So it's the same old domestic violence story where the victim ends up protecting the guy for whatever reason..probably the fact that he has a lucrative extension coming up. But the audio was still enough to drop some sort of suspension on him..I'm seeing all sorts of Chef fans who thought he'd get at least a 2 game suspension for the threat alone
She's the one who tried to extort/set him up in the first place. She's way fucked in the head. They aren't together anymore. She don't got anything to lose anymore but she still isn't talking. Tyreek fully cooperated with the NFL's investigation and obviously gave them good enough an explanation for the context of that or they would've suspended him.
Of course she's fucked in the head. He beat her when she was pregnant and she stayed with him. Some would argue she was trapped, but fucked in the head works well enough.
I'd bet Hill gave the same explanation to KC before they ultimately banished him long before he had to report. Shit didn't matter. Audio leaked and that was that. Even they expected harsher penalties
Got a match for Hill. He and Pacman are about the same size
I'm not a Raiders guy at all, but my three Nevada cousins are already onto the bandwagon and they wanted me to join the party. They had put their deposit in for season seat reservations, club seating, looking to budget for a group of four seats. They asked me to kick in so that we can have a "family block". It was tempting - I can always stay in North Vegas with my old Hunt Bch roomie from my single days (wife would love that - he's still the biggest coozhound ever, and now he's a 50something manwhore in Vegas. Go figure) or with my wife's half-brother in Henderson. He's born-again, but he has a huge condo there. Massive pool, extra room, no hotels to worry about. It'd mean two or three trips to Vegas for long weekends in the football season.
Just too rich for my blood. But that place is going to rock once it's built and that city gets ready for football. I can only imagine the party that Sin City is going to throw for the NFL.
The Raiders new stadium looks like a toilet.
Or, good design...if they're attempting synergy with the on-field product...
I guess I'll take your word for it. I cannot pretend to be well-versed in architecture. I effed up a birdhouse I built last summer. If it's a bad stadium, that's too bad. All I hear from residents there, from outskirters in Carson City and Tahoe, to locals in Ocatillo Mesa, is excitement to see pro football anywhere close.
As an old Raider hater, part of me would love to see them screw it up, but anyway...
Just announced a few hours ago that the PAC-12 title game will be held there '20 and '21. College atmosphere is pretty much right up Vegas' alley. Rock indeed
Pack release Mike Daniels?
It can’t be worse than that monstrosity called Levi Stadium.
About the same seating capacity, but more expensive than Levi. Most importantly, a solid chance Vegas will be a better football venue than Levi where it really matters, in terms of home field advantage given the seating structure and the option of closing it up to create the loud dome dynamic. Don't expect it to be the Superdome or anything, at least not right away, but the cities of Vegas and New Orleans do share some cultural similarities and like Finski said, Nevada is pretty juiced to have the NFL. Mixed in with fans from Cali, should be a solid home field advantage. The Pac 12 choosing to move their conference title game from Levi to Vegas was pretty much a no brainer as far as the actual game goes and atmosphere. Now, we see if Vegas can pull it's parking together.
Most teams in the league should be thinking " dome "..easiest way to build a winner given what it can mean for crowd participation/home field advantage. Of course, can't expect a Green Bay or Chicago to ever go dome given the historical significance of their venues, so they're sort of stuck, but they do still enjoy the advantages of the insane cold. Vegas should be an interesting option for the Super Bowl down the line given what it could mean for the teams that have fans that travel well like the Pats, Steelers and Packers. Sure the NFL will be observing crowd impact during these upcoming Pac-12 title games in Vegas.
