Okay, I want to be fair. Was that the ultimate result of Donnies double switch or just a predictable pitch. And now that we're up to bat, does the double switch now hurt us more?
Well, it wasn't completely necessary to bring in Baez to begin with. Van Slyke didn't matter in the ultimate result and I guess it's good that he gets to bat and Baez still gets to stay in. But for defensive reasons, if you're gonna take out one of the 3 OF's with the tying run on 2B, it should probably be Ethier who has the weakest of the 3 arms.
I get you. Look, in close game situations, there are very few managers I would want less than Donnie. It's like a switch turns off, and no one has the balls on that staff to say "wait a minute."
