    DLo still isn't a Top 20 PG. Well, maybe he is, but barely. He's still one of the worst big minute guards in the league defensively. He's never winning anything.

    This is how many points better/worse the Lakers are per 100 possessions when a player is on the floor this season. (min. 500 minutes played)
    LeBron = +7.4
    Chandler = +5.6
    Hart = +4.7
    Zu = +3.0
    Zo = +1.3
    Kuz = +1.2
    BI = +0.2
    KCP = -4.1
    Rondo = -4.5
    McGee = -4.9

    Lance = -6.2

    Highlighted because of the minutes they play @ pivotal positions
    If " playoff Rondo " is really a thing..gotta make the playoffs to see it, right?
    And Javale has regressed into pure trash

    Yeah if they do, Sarver will just fuck it up. I hope Zion does land in a big market though. Tired of these small markets landing superstar talents and making piss poor decisions building around them. A whole lot of crying about Julius last night, but imagine having Harden on a team with two more future hall of famers and deciding not to keep him because of $4-5M. Now, that's worth a tear or two. Thunder fans still cry themselves to sleep

    He did not have a reliable 3 point shot which the trend/analytics focused front office types value way more than all of Randles other skills.
    Randle has improved that enough that his other skills are now valued more by these types because his outside shot makes those skills more dangerous.
    But next years FA class is super deep.
    There will be too many players and not enough cap space.

    On the "who's fit w/LeBron?" front, here's the Net Rating for these 2-man combos (this is a slightly different stat)
    LBJ + Chandler = +7.2
    LBJ + Hart = +6.9
    LBJ + KCP = +3.1
    LBJ + Zo = +3.1
    LBJ + Kuz = +2.4
    LBJ + BI = +1.6
    LBJ + McGee = +1.4
    LBJ + Lance = +0.2
    LBJ + Rondo = -5.0

    Too bad Chandler's an older fella and can't play 30+ minutes anymore

    Muscala comes over and promptly sprains his ankle, lands next to Chandler on the bench. Javale gets his wish..to play more net negative basketball.
    Might have to go with more LeBron @ the 5 until Muscala is back. He hates playing 5 and should, but it's the lineup that's working.
    Moe is all out of sorts out there

    If we don’t make the playoffs, will we be able to keep the pick in the lottery? We haven’t traded that away have we.

    Other than Zion, is there anyone else that looks promising? How deep is this year’s draft class?

    Yeah, they still have the pick, but this draft is very top heavy.

    He'll always be flawed defensively, but he's been a big part of the Nets grabbing the 6 spot in the East and probably making the playoffs. Quite the jump for a team that went 28-54 the year before and hasn't owned a first round pick in forever.

    Magic Johnson talks out of his ass too much....like calling Michael Carter-Williams the next Jason Kidd.

    Why not call out the sorry ass vets though? Lonzo is hurt, Kuzma has mostly done his job, and Ingram was actually good last night. I just found it funny that LeBron of all people made the comment during the same week Space Jam 2 got a release date lol

    And I can never forget this....

    But if the ultimate goal is to win a championship..you know how that's ending in Brooklyn. Cred for helping them get better, but it's not going to be enough and are we supposed to believe that top FAs are going to line up to play with a ball dominant scoring guard like D'angelo that's trash defensively and plays at a slower pace? That guys still look at sideways because of his episode with Young? Nah.

    Magic's gonna Magic. He was right moving on from D'angelo. Everytime you hear a vet talk about Zo, they talk about what a pleasure it is playing with him. Kuz is getting all the hype, but of all the kids they have now and have had, Zo is the closest to being ready to play championship caliber basketball from an overall standpoint. He just needs to get his health in order. It took Zo one offseason to shape up physically and he did it while dealing with a knee and other lingering stuff from the season before.

    Hope Nassir Little's stock keeps dropping. Roy has been playing him out of position all year and his style doesn't mix well with UNC's system. I'm still a big believer in him....he was the only dude that could slow down Zion in HS. Has a lot of Kawhi in him. Last I saw, he was projected between 11-15.

    I find it easy to forget a mediocre rebounding 7 footer who can't defend and camps out at the 3 pt line.

    Sounds like the perfect type of center for LeBron given what Bosh and K Love turned into while playing with him lol

    I don't think the bullet he shot had a name on it. A losing culture is what it is, it can bring guys down that have actually been a part of winning teams. Look at Javale. We know he was a part of a winning GSW team, but are we really supposed to believe he's now " a winner "? That was Magic's selling point, of course, but no. Rondo's comments were pretty much the same..that they all need to start playing for each other, for pride, whatever. But Rondo has been trash. They love him, but he's been trash overall, so I don't know how he's going to lead from the back

    Basically. Any LAL fan that complains about LAL's defense, but also complains about Lopez not being a Laker is chasing his own tail.

    Said it weeks ago, after failing to get George it was a situation on the market where they were going to have to trade one thing for another. Want more shooting? Want JJ Redick? Want Brook Lopez? They suck defensively. You're trading shooting for defensive ability. Granted, LAL figured they could hide Redick better than they could hide Lopez defensively, and correctly. They tried to get Redick and came in a close 2nd according to him

    Bosh was terrific defensively. Could've been better rebounding, but he played away from the basket his share of the time

    He does seem like a guy that could be similar to one of those wings in Toronto if he improves his shooting. Anunoby or Siakam

    With regard to D’Lo and Randle, I think it really comes down to coaching. I doubt the young guys have any respect for Luke. So they have no structure and Luke doesn’t exactly do himself any favors with his weird substitutions and rotations.

    I’m not surprised D’Lo and Randle are thriving with different coaches.
