I think he is completely serious. But he has no true experience in this thing and seems way over his head.
Blackstone is ignoring him pretty much. If you listen to the full interview with Mason and the tall midget John Ireland you'll hear all about it.
OK, I listened to the interview, and he sounds fake. He's bidding 2.2 billion because he knows it won't be accepted. A boston accent and he says things like "I will pay whatever it takes. If it's $3 billion? I will do it". Perhaps the most obvious plant in history. I feel dumber for having listened to his interview. Fuckface and his shit can't get out of town fast enough.
Perhaps he hates McCourt and wants to drive the other bidders out and then bail out and leave the process in a disaster stage with McCourt missing selling dates and the process shattered. At any rate I doubt if Blackstone is taking him seriously or if MLB would approve him regardless of the bid.
Yeah, I didn't listen to it because I didn't have time. Just listened to it and I completely agree. No wonder Blackstone is ignoring him.

Yes. Both of those things are ridiculous. Billionaires don't haphazardly throw money around like that. And billionaires usually aren't completely unknown. He claims to have made a lot of money backing movies and television... wouldn't that mean a lot of people would know this guy? Would know of him? Why doesn't he say what movies he has backed? I googled him and had to go 20 pages deep to find 2 photos of the guy on IMDB from 2010, with no other information. Besides that the most recent mention of him is from Nov 2011. He's the most obscure billionaire in history, and for someone who is a complete secret, he seems to be pretty good at getting his mug in the media. Fuck, I can google my own name and find waaay more stuff about myself than this dude. If he's for real than great, buy the team and I will be happy - but this has ALL the earmarks of another Frank McCourt scam. Maybe this Josh fellow will sue the Dodgers and MLB pushing the sale date off. After that Frank can sue MLB pushing the sale date off even more. Frank is such a tool. I actually kind of hope he keeps pushing this thing until he leaves town with just the shirt on his back because he's fucked it up so bad.
Oh... and one more thing. Apparently the dude has struck it rich with a gold mine in Arizona. What the fuck? Does he live in 1848 or something?
Well, 47 days. April 1st is when he picks a winner. 77 to have his keys taken away and flight to Boston.
