    Growing up, Cey was my childhood favorite. I collected all his cards, except the "rookie" year, which was not within my meager means due to him sharing it with one Mike Schmidt. As much time as I spent studying his cards and other pictures, a Dodgers jersey with #10 always triggers feelings of nostalgia for me. So I've been very in tune with players who've worn it since. There are those who did it justice, like Sheffield and Nomo. There were the tough years too - Valentin and LaRoche. Fortunately it's in good hands with its present occupant.

    i liked all those guys back then -- cey, lopes, garvey, russell, reggie, dusty, yeager...
    my parents let me cut school so i could watch game 4 of the '78 nlcs (was a best of 5 back then)
    i still remember this moment like it was yesterday...

    Old is a state of mind. I still feel like I did when I was in highschool, which creates its own problems, which I won't get into.

    Anyhow, that team will, for me, be THE Dodgers. Ron Cey (the Penquin...remember those cheesy electronics store commercials he would do....like it cost $10 to make), Rick Monday, Dusty Baker, Steve Yeager, Davey Lopes, Bill Russell, Reggie Smith, Pedro Guerrero, and of course Fernando Valenzuela, with Lasorda being the skipper.

    Ahhhh....a walk down amnesia lane.

    i was lucky enough to be at the game when a lot of those guys were first called up in september
    watching them all warm up (back) when there was a shit ton of foul territory
    had to be 1969/70

    I don't see why I have to when they come after me. You're supposed to be impartial as a mod and treat everyone the same. But you let those guys say shit to me and then I get banned when I fight back. What's up with that?!!!
