I have waivered on this all year. One minute I want to get a high return for him before he starts sucking and we can get nothing for him. The next I want to wait it out and "let him develop". I think it is just maddening because Puig came in with a ton of expectations and has not lived up to them, never mid that those expectations might have been tooo high to begin with. Currently I am in the "let him develop" stage. I think we gave up on Werth tooo early and don't want to do that with Puig. Of course that could change tomorrow.....
Yeah, and here's hoping a better bullpen can relieve some of CK's pressure in these games I can't gloss over the part he's played in these playoff failures
Scherzer threw 100 just for giggles in todays game and the damned Mets have 3 guys who throw 100+ Having Kazmir or Meada as a #2 is plain bullshit
Having either of those two as your #2 is like living in Bakersfield when you can afford to live in Brentwood.
Meh, KC made it to the Series with bum Shields as their ace, a pedestrian Jason Vargas as their #2, a mercurial Ventura as their #3, and an old Jeremy Guthrie getting spot starts as their 4th guy. SFG won it all that year with a washed up Peavy who got spanked all post as their #2, old man Tim Hudson who didn't fare much better as their #3, and bum ass Ryan Vogelsong as their 4th guy. And with that, SFG went through Strasburg/Gio/Roark/Fister and Wainwright/Lackey/Lynn/Miller And with that, KC went through Lester/Weaver/Shoemaker/Tillman/Chen/Gonzalez to then get bombed by one man in the Series..Madison Bumgarner. All this while LAD had Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu and whoever as the 4th guy No more tears.
back in the 90's i had to travel from la to bakersfield and fresno a lot on business dewars candy anyone?
this doesn't matter who you have throwing the ball if you don't score, you can't win sounds painfully obvious, but...
not if you don't score you can have average pitching and defense as long as you outscore the other team...
