Yeah...when you think of it, that team was pitching rich and tough as nails, and the offense was barely enough...while this team ( recently anyway), is offense strong, and pitching shaky...the SR anyway. Almost polar opposites. Anyway it gets done though...as Sulu said, "phasers on fabulousss"!! ( Actually it was Shatner)
Well...simply, Sulu, or the guy who played the character, George Takei, got married a few years ago. To a guy.
1. Chase Utley, 2B (L) 2. Josh Reddick, RF (L) 3. Corey Seager, SS (L) 4. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B (L) 5. Yasmani Grandal, C (S) 6. Joc Pederson, CF (L) 7. Howie Kendrick, LF (R) 8. Rob Segedin, 3B (R) 9. Scott Kazmir, P (L) Love to see Grandal getting the start in an early game. He's 3 for 4 with a double and HR previously against this pitcher.
Only change I would make is probably pushing Reddick down the order and giving Segedin a chance at the 3 spot. Hey why not. Roberts put Reddick in the cleanup spot yesterday.
then so far reddick is mike davis 88 huh? does that mean you and ibb are wham maybe you two could karaoke a new walk up version of careless whisper for reddick
@BillShaikin: Ross Stripling starts Friday for #Dodgers. Rich Hill still delayed. m.twitter.com/BillShaikin What a POS
Hill might not pitch til September lol I would rather get him 100% healthy though to be honest, to give us highly effective starts down the stretch. I know ppl will hate it, and if he pitches little and like shit it's very very bad, but I still think he's here only to give highly effective outings more then a higher number. Quality over quantity if that makes sense. But I'm also just trying to look at it optimistically
In theory we have this last game against Philly, Pittsburgh who's ok, Philly again and then Cincy, who are the two worst teams in the NL. We should be fine in these next three series with what we have healthy, just need those guys by SF, CHC, Coors which are the following three series.
fuck him and his blister the trade that brought us him and reddick looking like shit... for now but let's look at it when we have a larger, er, sample size hill (when healthy) is a quality starter and a great addition to our staff having him and kersh healthy for the stretch/postseason would be like acquiring two top starters and reddick will be fine he's clearly pressing imo and it's not like he's hurt the team's progress
Yup, I'd rather ensure he's good to go for a few starts against really good teams then rush him to get a start off against some team Stripling/Urias can get by against and then his fingers rip off It is frustrating though, since a blister should be healing much quicker
