I think even though he has struggled there, Buehler will be fine. The next gen of Dodgers starters are better equipped to have success in Coors if they can put it together(hard throwers, high spin rates with downward movement).
Maybe it would depend on how he pitches the NLDS. If he stinks, the Colorado thing would make it easy to justify keeping him off the roster. I don't think Milwaukee is going to lose this series though.
I don’t think they lose either as the Rockies are just not a good team, but man they have some guys that could carry them(Freeland, Marquez). It’s 4 good hitters(5 now with Dahl), 2 great starters and a shakey bullpen, but weirder things have happened. In the event it does happen. Could also not have Kenley on the roster to start the series and then bring him in for games 6 or 7.
3 cities in 3 days AND a 13 inning game plus a hotter than hell player in Yelich? Brewers are going to sweep. Edit: Plus Freeland being used on 3 days rest already.
Honestly, 100% up to wtv his doctor says. If there’s a chance of something bad happening medically, you don’t place him on there no matter what Jansen says. It’s too serious of a condition to not just go with wtv the doctor says
Adding Dahl as a viable weapon in that lineup makes that first five in the lineup scary. Add Dodger killers Ianetta and Parra to that and I'd rather not face them again.
Fuck the Cubs. A cute story at one time has become insufferable (see Red Sox, Boston). That said, the Cubs aren't going anywhere.
Certainly hope so. Aside from Coors, aside from repertoire, Buehler has the Glavine like demeanor and doesn't seem to waste a ton of energy getting amped up and emotional about everything under the sun. Meanwhile, Kershaw feels like a crackhead looking for another fix during his starts and wouldn't be surprised if it's worked against him in OCT
One of the dumbest storylines from last night was “Can you believe one of these teams has to go home after this?” Yeah, two teams that can’t hit off average starters and average relievers for 13 innings don’t get to both be in the playoffs.
They were both bad teams playing a bad game. Like, wow how sad am I gonna be that a team relying on outs from Jesse Chavez and Jorge de la Rosa or from at bats from Tony Wolters or Matt Holiday has to go home
i know for a fact idc about last nights game but the acct in chitown was pretty devastated last night no one owes him or the cubs a thing but that was brutal every break went their way and they couldn't get it done takes me back to last year truly a painful hobby
No Rockies fan here, but another year not having to hear about the Cubs in the post season by the media or having to hear Cub fan is fine with me.
This is true, but having the Cubbies in the postseason making a solid run is also good for baseball. That's undeniable.
I love how the media doesn't think the A's can "Handle New York". There's nothing special about the New Yankee Stadium. Just stfu!
