And despite his success with the Warriors, he hasn't gotten another shot in the league. Funny in a league where less successful coaches are constantly re-cycled.
Me neither, well, at least not overly selfish. But LAL is different and it's a new venture/role for him in the only place where his " front man " status can be eclipsed. Was a small part of the LAD group, but it was still " the Magic Johnson group "
Not if Magic is true to his word. If they don't see the court, they can't play one on one boring dunk ball
There are about 4 or 5 guys that deserve equal parts cred ( or at least close to it) for where they are, West is one of them, but when you talk to some fans they just fork over all or most of the cred to West. The Warriors/NBA have done a good job of promoting the other guys like Myers and shedding some light on all that they mean to the org tho
We are witnessing the end of Paul George and the Pacers. These MFs had a 74-49 lead over the Cavs at half time. The Cavs are now winning Game 3, 114-109 It's done. The greatest comeback in the history of the NBA playoffs..Pacers choke. Let the George/Lakers rumor free for all on social media begin
Chris@oghoanina Jeanie Buss tryna convince Larry Bird to trade Paul George to Lakers this off season #LakeShow
Phil brought us many rings. Maybe Jeannie dances for Bird and he brings us some rings too. Bird is closer to her age.
Ben Coil@CometCoil 33m33 minutes ago Paul George is gonna represent the Lakers at the Draft Lottery Lol
In regards to the comments about the Raiders in Vegas and marketshare... Once the Rams field a competitive team people will hop on the bandwagon. And the kids growing up here with a team will eventually create that organic home base. There was a lot of enthusiasm early on. They had more viewership from the preseason through week 2 than the Raiders and Chargers combined. That Seattle home opener was one of the coolest moments of my life in regards to sports. Took the Metro to the Coliseum from Norwalk and on my route the entire city, rail lines, buses, union station, and streets were flooded with people decked out in the old blue and yellow. Retail stores could not keep that retro apparel in stock that week. What a scene. Then everyone found out the team was garbage. Nobody wants to watch the 32nd ranked offense and a flop first overall pick. Not only were they bad, but they were insultingly boring. The biggest sin in this town. Even Laker games dont sell out anymore and their TV viewership is in the tank. Gotta be worth watching. It's a long game and they'll eventually capture LA. The Rams in southern California is a proven business that works. 49 seasons. They were a huge brand in LA, the players were TV stars, they lead the NFL in attendance most years, etc. Then they moved to Anaheim in 1980. No matter how close Orange County and Los Angeles are in proximity, they are completely different worlds and cultures. The Raiders playing in the Coliseum during those years during the height of NWA and all that totally killed marketshare for the Rams in LA proper. Then, the Rams moved to STL. And I think the Rams moving to the Midwest by Georgia was taken much more personally than Al Davis taking the Raiders. She was Mccourt before Mccourt. And it was personal. The Raiders are a rogue, transient brand that resonates with people no matter where they play. The Rams situation was different. While the Raiders were a Southwest flight from Burbank away, the Rams were really gone and the brand didn't stick around. So when you factor in the Anaheim move, the Rams haven't really been "in LA" for 30+ years. So of course it will take a bit for a full embrace. Especially when the team is bad. This is a unique situation where 21 years has passed without a team. A generation was lost, demographics have changed, and there is more competition for the sports dollar in LA. They cant field horrible teams. Rams playing in that Inglewood palace, fielding an exciting team, and outreaching to the new generation of football fans will eventually win out. Raider fans are awesome. And there are many. But there are more people who either don't care, we're just born, or don't have a team yet. And they're likely going to be Rams fans. I have zero doubt the Rams will be successful in Los Angeles. They already were. Shoudve never left.
GTFOOOOOH, just reported, Rondo now out indefinitely with a broken right thumb Damn, the Celtics were done
you should seriously consider writing for money if you don't already not that there is much in the way of journalism anywhere to be found these days... i wanted whorgia to die yes it was that personal she killed her husband, fired his son, married a mobster, moved the team and got away w it my fire for all sports is fading w my years and whats important, so as happy as i was i quickly lost interest for the reasons you list but i agree they wouldn't have made the move if they weren't going for the big money and a quality product is a must wait this is a Laker thread did i just go all Bluezoo?
I had to go look it up...he was having an affair with a stripper a few years back and he sexted her some nude pictures. She held onto them and several years later she tried to blackmail him with the photos while he was the warriors coach. http://deadspin.com/5922066/fbi-ex-...-jackson-extorted-him-with-his-own-dong-shots
lol at being extorted you want to post choad pics of me, have at it shit, i'll send you more if you want
several things are surprising about this story one is that there are actually guys (especially famous ones) that think women or anyone else wants a picture of their junk its says that it was a guy that was extorting him w his penis photos and that his name was "Shaw" hmmmmm Shaw replied, "I want to be made whole." the fact that he's super religious and banging strippers on the side is a little less surprising...
