Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn Update in story via @WindhorstESPN and me: Lakers expected to have exploratory conversation with Dion Waiters in near future. Not a big surprise. Waiters a former Pelinka client, and dude from Philly that's a huge Kobe guy. If LAL can get him on track, solid potential in terms of giving a guy like Beverley problems. When Waiters is right, there have been nights where some of the best defensive players in the league have had no answer for him. Guess we'll see if he's not too far gone
If Lakers stay at the 1 spot, I definitely don't want to see Lillard and the Blazers as the 8 seed. That'd be scary as hell.
Kickin a lil Clipper ass a couple weeks ago. Played patty cake with a couple of Lou's shots there down the stretch. 18 minutes of action, 14 points, finished the game
Lakers played themselves with no moves at the trade deadline and then Collision bitching out on playing. But still think just off LeBron/AD we have enough in the playoffs to get it done. At least until we have to face Milwaukee.
Was always going to be tough to make a strong move given the way the contracts on the roster are set up. Why they really wanted Iguodala to be bought out by Memphis. Of course, definitely don't suspect that losing his best friend and god-daughter in a copter crash made Pelinka's job any easier. Either way, the best non-LeBron/AD move could prove to be the addition of Phil Handy and what he does to get guys ready. What Handy's doing with Cousins, who could still be a 15-20 minute a night addition..what he's doing and what he will do with LeBron to get him ready for playoff series. Handy is the best doing it
Just realized Rich Paul is Waiter's agent. So a former Pelinka client that's now one of Paul's clients. Seems like a solid chance for a signing here, but do they need a Lou Williams type like Waiters more than they need a 3 and D shot in the arm? Hard to say
LeBron 34, Caruso 18 Dion 28, Pope 24 Green 24, Kuzma 28 Davis 34, Boogie 10 Javale 14, Dwight 28 2 superstars = LeBron and Davis 3 stars = Kuzma, Dion and Dwight 5 role players = Green, KCP, Caruso, Javale and Boogie 5 scrubs for depth = everyone else balance
i'm an avowed mebron hater but if he keeps leading the league in assists and doing what he's been doing its hard to hate on him still shows glimpses of the hero ball guy but he's getting it done big time atm
Haven't watched a basketball game in years. Have no idea what he's doing Have zero clue on anything to do with the NBA Just do not like him.
Morris is going to take away shots from Kawhi which is a win for any Clippers opponent. Looked like a black hole whenever he got the ball tonight vs Philly. Would love if he disrupted their chemistry that already had some question marks. Paul George has been a notorious bum in playoff games.....Clippers aren't nearly as scary as made out to be by the media. Kawhi's team from last year would have been a huge favorite to win the NBA Finals had he stayed. 40-14 without him? Kawhi could have rested the entire season.
Sixers currently struggling..going through all kinds of BS within the locker room and with Embiid over the last week or two..they still manage to put the Clips in a headlock. Smh The schism you speak of in the Clips' locker room over load management..personally, I've never heard of Marcus Morris being a guy that stabilizes a locker room, so we'll see how that plays out, as well. Rivers had really good leadership in Boston..he doesn't have that with the Clips. We'll see how it works out
