Welcome to my new coach Mr. Todd McLellan!! https://www.usnews.com/news/sports/...hire-former-sharks-oilers-coach-todd-mclellan
Wilson threw down the deadline and Seattle caved, NFL record 4yrs/$140M extension to stay with the Seahawks So much for NY..bad news for the Rams too. Rams better have a plan for Gurley..Goff was trash without Gurley @ elite level
Monday Night Football opener Week 1, RAIDERS/Broncos, old time rivalry in Oakland Monday Night opener didn't work out so well last year VS Rams..better luck this time around, hopefully AB center stage
Ian Rapoport✔@RapSheet Sources: #Raiders coach Jon Gruden and GM Mike Mayock sent their scouts home for the weekend and they are not expected to return by draft time. The belief is they don’t know who to trust and wanted to clear the room.
Damn amazing. They were already the most intriguing team in the draft. Now it's to an absurd level. I'm trying to figure out why McKenzie's twin bro is still on the scouting staff. You can't trust him after you fired his brother? Ya think? Lol
Daniel Jeremiah@MoveTheSticks When I started scouting in 2003, most teams allowed scouts and coaches to see the draft board. By 2012, most teams only allowed 3-4 people (HC/GM/Personnel Director/College Director) to have access to the board. This isn’t that unusual OK.
Ok....well that explains another curious Raider 1st pick choice. With all their picks, they couldn't get this guy lower in the draft and get a better D line guy or pass rusher?
They might have been able to get Ferrell somewhere between 8-15 with a trade back. That said, after Bosa, Quinnen Williams and Hockenson at the very top and way out front, everyone else from 4-20 are sort of jumbled up and close in talent. After the 20th, maybe 22nd pick, the 2nd round sort of begins in terms of talent. RAIDERS screwed up by winning late in the season, should've tanked better, would've been in line for Bosa or Williams, but I'm glad they didn't trade up for either of them because they need all their picks and Ferrell is plug and play right away. Ferrell's not a curious pick, not for me. I actually said they'd get one of the Clemson D-lineman after the Mack trade. He's a safe pick, scheme fit, high character and high production. SEC defensive player of the year, leader, 2 time national champ. Can't wait to see what they do with the other 2 picks tonight. Wouldn't hate it at all if they went safe again, both times and both on defense, but they could use a tight end. I would've been pretty satisfied with taking Hockenson @ 4, but the defense is definitely worse off in comparison to what they have offensively
Exactly. I saw so many mock drafts that had the RAIDERS reaching for Gary it sickened me. Mayock grabbed his ghostbuster's suit and ran Al's ass outta the building, but he must have moved into GB Lol
But his numbers in college are lackluster relatively especially with a talented D line that Clemson had. All I'm saying is that he may be a stud, but he BETTER be at 4. If he was in th teens or 20's, that would have been a genius pick. And this wouldn't even have been a problem if they just vs e Khalil Mack what he wanted. It just seems Gruden takes his own pride over the overall team.
Ferrell played on a hell of a D-line. That's why his numbers are the way they are. RAIDERS had a hell of a lot of holes, spent $115M in guaranteed money this offseason..Mack wanted 90
