Two weeks after winning what many were calling "the biggest premiere league game in history" against Manchester United, Manchester City needed only a win at home against lowly Queens Park Rangers to ensure the league title. With United tied for points but behind on goal differential, City was in control of their own destiny. Win and the title was theirs, but a loss or tie coupled with a United win and the premiership would slip through their grasp.
Battling for a spot in the premier league next season, the Rangers played stout defense early, choosing to lay off deep when City were in possession, which they often were. The more QPR held the more they gained confidence. After City broke through the defense late in the first half with a strike from Pablo Zabaleta to go up 1-0, QPR regrouped and retaliated. They received a break when John Lescott misplayed a header, giving Djibril Cisse a one on one with keeper Joe...

It was an impressive performance from Nate Diaz.
The native of Stockton, CA. earned his way to the main event on the UFC’s third major Fox card with Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night wins in his last two bouts. His opponent, Jim Miller, had never been finished in his Mixed Martial Arts Career, and his only loss in the past three years came at the hands of current Lightweight champion Benson Henderson. What was slated to be a hard fought win for either fighter quickly turned into a one sided affair in favor of Diaz.
Using his 5 inch reach and 4 inch height advantage, Diaz’s range forced Miller to come inside to attack. But Diaz took advantage, as he beat Miller up in the clinch with knees and body punches. Diaz threw in high volume, landing 97 total strikes compared to just 27 for Miller according to Fightmetric. In the end, desperation led Miller to shoot for a...

Skewby – Humble Pie EP
Earlier this week Memphis rapper Skewby released Humble Pie, a 6 song FreEP. Having already released two full digital albums, More or Less and Proving You Wrong Since 1988, the 23 year old has displayed a knack for putting out quality music. His latest work does not disappoint, as Humble Pie combines insightful lyrics with excellent beats.
Every song on the EP is powerful, but ‘Almost There’ defines the project. Skewby takes a moment to reflect on his current position in hip hop. “They tell me my time coming like I don’t have eyes, Like my mattress don’t collect the sweat that comes from the grind.” An up and comer by most standards, he anticipates his rise to stardom and recognizes the hard work it takes for him to be successful. The official video adds visuals to the story.
