The added hypocrisy about this and Kemp's tweet is that Kemp was the one complaining about not playing C.F. and asking for a trade. So talk about people living in glass houses.

 

Kemp never asked for a trade, his agent tried to get him traded and failed.

Are you kidding? It's highly improbably that an agent asked for a trade without his client's knowledge, blessing or instruction, especially a client like Kemp. I don't buy that for a second.

 

And, all this coincided with Kemp's dissatisfaction with everything from his batting order to pulling him from some games to give him a chance to get right. That's when Mattingly gave his talk about selfish players needing to drop it.
