Same here, but not because I don't have confidence in Kershaw. Rather, Ryu pitching Thursday is already on an extra day rest. If we held him to Friday, that might get him out of rhythm. Also, the extra rest day for Kersh couldn't hurt.

Now that Kershaw wasn’t named the game 1 starter, he’s gonna go 5-0 in the postseason with a 0.30 ERA, 3 complete games, and a no-hitter in game 7 of the WS.

That's a weird way to spell Buehler.

It's the regular rotation. With Ryu pitching well they don't have to alter it. So much different than other years where they to scramble the starters.

It feels like every year in past we went into the playoffs with Kershaw, a second pitcher who just came off the DL, and two guys who pitched lights out in May but have been struggling down the stretch.

Underselling Greinke a tad. I don't even remember a bad Greinke start in the postseason, not with LAD. He had the Cardinals in a headlock

Not underselling him. More like I forgot about him.

But even the Greinke years we were lucky to have Ryu as our #3 one of those years (and no #4), and another year we had Brett Anderson as the #3.

Greinke went 1-1, 3.29 in 2015. Not bad. Buehler can do better. Just happens that 2015 was Kershaw's best playoffs... 1-1, 2.63. Ryu, surprisingly, hasn't thrown a pitch in the postseason since 2014, but he's at 2.81 over three career games, so I'm definitely looking for him to get us off on the right foot tomorrow.

I know what you're going for, but compare Kersh/Greinke/Ryu/Anderson to what the Giants and Royals had going in their rotations and you'll feel much better about it all. If Kershaw just dominates, as he has in the reg season, the job gets done. Hell, he doesn't even have to dominate..just hold a gotdamn 4-5 run lead
