DS was soooo lame last night a little cold and half the people don't show up was fun to walk around and sit anywhere we wanted to w rows and rows of empties all over got a great shot of Kenta in the pen warming up but i can't post a photo here for some reason
Whoever (probably germans of some kind) enslaved the Slavs surely fucked with their language to keep them behind as long as possible.
Joc is really playing great. Even though he has had a mediocre last couple of weeks he is still having a fantastic season. If you strip away pinch hitting he slashes .255 .366 .691 1.058 across all types of pitching. When he leads off an inning his OPS is even higher and when he leads off the game its above 1.500. When he leads off in the game which are most of his at bats he slashes .256 .370 .711 1.081. Relief pitching kills his stats because that's when they bring in lefties. But vs Starting Pitching he slashes a whopping .311 .432 .885 1.318. Joc should start against every right handed pitcher. He should also start vs lefties if the game is at Dodger stadium. And only pinch hit vs right handed relievers obviously. Joc is a very good and powerful hitter to lead the game off with. And having Max coming next with Bellinger not so far behind... Dodgers trying to blitz the opposition.
Kike is also playing really well in his main job as starting 2B vs right handed pitchers where he slashes .279 .367 .574 .941. And when he has to hit against left handed relievers he also does well .279 .367 .574 .941. Its left handed starters that give him issues. Basically he can play full time as long as you keep him at 2B. He is flexible defensively but his OPS historically is consistently in the .600's or below when he plays the OF. When he plays 2B he slashes .277 .368 .495 .863. . Taylor is another one who plays well when he is used correctly but sucks when used incorrectly. When he starts at 2B he slashes .316 .417 .421 .838 this year and historically 308 .392 .534 .926. LF: Joc/Vertigo 1B: Muncy 3B: Turner RF: Bellinger SS: Seager CF: Vertigo/Taylor 2B: Kike C : Barnes This splits most of the at bats pretty well amongst the team with Pollock taking Taylors job as the 4th OF when he returns.
This game is already weird!! Scherzer looks like he's his normal self unfortunately. Would be against us.
Vs RH Starter in 68 at bats .279 .367 .574 .941 When he plays in the OF his offense drops to a .400 OPS. When he pinch hits or is still in the game late after starting he sucks balls as well.
He has a wrc+ of 85 against RHP. Hitting .207 with a .275 OBP and strikes out nearly 30 percent of the time against them iirc. Granted, we are only <2 months in. But he has a history of extreme splits
