I'll look at the one positive of this series: We royally fucked over the Cardinals. Payback for them nailing Hanley in the ribs in 2013 when we had the best team we've had in a long time.
I agree with that slightly, but we don't play again until Friday, so I think that takes a lot of steam out of that idea. If Joc hurt his leg running into a wall after we clinched, that would be worse.
I would have liked to knock off the gnats. But the fact that us rolling over cost the Cardinals a final shot, I don't feel sorry for them in the slightest. Couldn't have happened to a "classier" bunch.
what the FUCK Enrique? A slow roller to 2B and he can't get him at first? Come on man. not helping yourself at all dude
give his roster spot to culberson or segedin kiké's versatility means squat if he sucks at everything
I agree... Especially if they think Puig can play CF fine enough, then even without Enrique we have 3 guys who can play CF, 2 who can play SS, and 3 who can play 2B.
"The biggest challenge is to keep our hitters sharp [for the NLDS]," Roberts said. "Over the course of three, four, five, let alone six days, the hitter has a little bit of a tougher challenge because of the timing aspect of live pitching." lol at "keeping" them sharp 3 hits yesterday, 3 so far today yeah, sharp
A chance to keep these clowns out of the playoffs and they get swept. Way to "roll" in to the playoffs.
Beat the fucking Nationals. They look like a damn good matchup, with their injuries and shitty lefties. Gotta do it
Luckily, the Nats don't really have excellent LHP. But the showing these last three games, it does have me worried. Also to have your top 3 starters lose...not exactly encouraging. I'm just hoping the Mets finally take care of the Gnats. Hillbilly is definitely beatable this season. Let's hope the Mets rise to that challenge. Worst part of it....this is how Vin has to go out.
