Riverside still LA. All the way to Palm Springs. San Bernardoo as well. At least up to about Adelanto/Victorville to the north and Big Bear to the east. How is Big Bear not LA? If you count OC you gotta count the other two. Then Ventura, how is Ventura not LA? It has to be, I am wearing a Tom Petty shirt right now.
There are different statistical categories for the Los Angeles area. "LA Metro" refers to Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, which is the "13 million people" you hear most often. "Greater Los Angeles" refers to Ventura-LA-Orange-Riverside-San Bernadino counties which is the "18 million people" you hear sometimes as well. These are all territories of the Los Angeles television market and statistical area. So I don't disagree with you. We're talking about whether or not someone from the Inland Empire would identify themselves as an "LA native". My point was, it's a bit of a reach. Folks who live in North Orange County or South Ventura County have an easier time identifying as a part of LA metro, whereas folks in Santa Barbara, South OC, and the Inland Empire do not. Because, technically, they aren't. They're included officially in Greater Los Angeles but not LA metro. They're not part of that urbanized pocket of communities. That's been my observation. As for Tom Petty, I've heard him reference the San Fernando Valley (Ventura Blvd) a lot and he died in Santa Monica. Neither are in Ventura County...
okc out. pretty much a lock of comes here now right? no winning leverage for okc and they can't bring anyone else in. book it magic. PG and resign Randle and I'll be happy.
PG definitely pulled the plug and the rug out from under Russ in that game 5 points 2-16 FG and 0-6 from three Outta there like
The Los Angeles Lakers’ Director of Basketball Analytics Jason Rosenfeld will be stepping away from the organization for a position with the MLB after just one season with the team, according to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus. I'm told the Lakers' director of basketball analytics Jason Rosenfeld has left the organization, - has moved on to an MLB related position elsewhere. Jason had joined the Lakers in October — Eric Pincus (@EricPincus) April 28, 2018 WTF? 1 season? What is he, the Dwight Howard of analytics?
I grew up in Ventura County (Simi Valley). At the time I didnt consider myself soemone that lived in LA. Since I left, I just tell people I grew up in LA because people that arent from LA don't understand the difference.
Rofl This Russ press conference " Somebody gotta say something about these fans..I don't play that shit. What I just say? Next question. "
Sixers getting schooled by Boston..no Jaylen Brown, no Kyrie. Oh and of course no Hayward Starting to get the feeling Brad Stevens is the only one capable of killing that bum Cleveland team, would sort of lose all respect for Stevens if he let 1 man beat him
Brad Stevens is a wizard. I kinda wished we got him to coach the Lakers. That being said, it's the Eastern Conference, and we're talking about winning a game against Philly. There's a long road to go. Still, Stevens is a better coach than Brooks with OKC.
This Rozier SOB is going to make it easy for Boston to discard Kyrie in a year With his knee issues, they probably should think about trading Kyrie this summer..get out in front Foist him onto some shitty team that needs to gamble because they can't attract FAs
ZoTime Podcast@ZoTimePodcast Lakers fans escorting Deng to his physical after he gets traded #LakeShow
The mileage Lebron has put on his body, especially this season really makes me wary of a long term deal. Didn't he play 47 minutes last night?
Not as worried, personally. Would be if it were anybody else, but he's almost this era's Wilt Chamberlain in terms of how far ahead of everyone else he is physically. It's year 15 for him, but probably like year 18 if you count all the playoff games, and he's still out there playing 47 minutes and dominating. He just owns. That said, LeBron's preferred signing 1 and 1 contracts in recent years. A long term deal may not be in his plans. But Magic and Pelinka shouldn't worry about him leaving after a year or two either. That's not his MO. But on the small chance that LeBron did sign a 1 and 1 deal and leave after a year or two, that's added cap flexibility for LAL to go out and replace him.
@ 6 seconds in the vid..what is VanVleet complaining to the ref about? Lol Damn, I can't stand bums What is LeBron not allowed to drop cross-court dimes? LeBron just leisurely drops a dime from 1 wing to the other, doesn't do a damn thing to VanVleet Then 5'11" overrated bench player VanVleet runs down to the block to harass LeBron and locks arms with a beast, then gets flicked like a flea LeBron didn't even want to punk him What is this madness?
