Get mad if you want to...you said it. Looks as if we're all in agreement with what you have there...except that hoping for the league to die BS. Reel it in
Boogie and Rondo worked them so unmercifully last night, good God Rondo 17 dimes and Boogie like 37pts Rondo is back in a real way
I have no use whatsoever for the NBA. Mostly thugs and hoods pulling down millions of $ for walking up and down the court and and acting out. Haven't watched a game in years and don't intend to. It pisses me off that my radio station wastes my time running down the scores in their sports segment. Curling is significantly more interesting as a sport. ...but that's just me...
Mavs' Pachulia nearly voted West All-Star starter Mavericks center Zaza Pachulia finished fourth in the voting for the Western Conference frontcourt players with 768,112 votes, just behind Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard for the final spot. Whoa Lol
RIP Stu Scott, he really put it into perspective that night, and hoop highlights are always better with him calling it in general, " badookadunk " Hahaha Kareem is the all-time leading scorer with a career high of 55pts in one game Kobe had 55 in one half. Lol
And of course folks had to go overboard yesterday, calling the 81pt game his greatest scoring game. It wasn't even his greatest scoring game that year. I present this masterpiece vs. the same 2006 Dallas Mavericks that represented the west in the Finals that year, which occurred a few weeks before 81.. Considering the competition, 81 does not stand up to; Kobe - 62, Mavs - 61 going into the 4th quarter. He could've given the Mavs 80 that night had the Lakers not been beating the hell out of Dallas after 3 quarters, prompting him to take himself out of the game to rest up. That's not only his greatest scoring game, to outscore a Finals bound Mavs team by himself through 3 quarters, that is absolutely the greatest scoring game by anyone in the modern era. People trying to blame Sam Mitchell for that Toronto game and take cred away from Kobe, Lol Dude had like four 50+ pt games alone in that month, everybody got merked, mass homicide.
Steve Kyler: Blatt’s name also linked to Wolves and Lakers. Seems he could be more sought after than expected. 9 hours ago – via Twitter stevekylerNBA Coaching, David Blatt, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers Mike Trudell: Popovich on why he likes Byron Scott: “He’s good people … fun to be around … puts things in perspective. honest.” 14 hours ago – via Twitter LakersReporter
Josh Lewenberg: “It was embarrassing for us,” Chris Bosh said of Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game. “That’s for him, not for us. I just had the best seat in the house” 1 day ago – via Twitter JLew1050 Charlie Villanueva: “Let me start by answering the question that I get asked the most: Yes. Yes, we knew how many points Kobe had. We were focused on the game, don’t get me wrong. In this league, you have to be; there are no nights off. But you also have to understand that this wasn’t just some game in some vacuum. This was a Kobe Bryant game — in January of 2006. Translation: This was one of the greatest players of all time (personally, I have him Top 3: Jordan, Wilt, Kobe) … during his very best run … within his very best season.” 1 day ago – via The Players' Tribune Charlie Villanueva: “Here’s more greatness. Take a look at some of the point totals that Kobe put up in a single stretch, starting with the Dallas game and ending with ours a month later: 62, 37, 45, 48, 50, 45, 41, 38, 37, 51, 37 … 81. Yo. That’s one of the best months ever. Not just in basketball history — in sports history. And listen: Guys were paying attention. Guys around the league were paying very close attention to Kobe that season. Any time you’d see someone, small-talk with someone, from inside the game — teammate, opponent, coach, ex-player, whatever — that was the conversation. How are you … How’s the family … Kobe, man. It was just on the list. And that’s what it was like that whole year — heavy chatter. Once a guy gets to a certain level, the whole league notices.” 1 day ago – via The Players' Tribune Charlie Villanueva: “When people ask what it was like to be on the court for The Black Mamba’s masterpiece, and I tell them, “It was like a video game” … I don’t mean it from a visual perspective at all. I don’t need to see it. I saw it. No — when I talk about Kobe’s performance that night, I mean it from the other perspective of video games. That you’re playing against a machine.” 1 day ago – via The Players' Tribune Gerald Henderson: “Kobe finished the game with 30 points. After the game, Coach Brown gave me a nod and said I’d played well. I think he meant it. Even though Kobe got 30, I had stuck to my game plan. For great scoring guards, the game plan is pretty universal: limit your guy to tough, contested two-point shots. If they’re off-balance jumpers, even better. Problem is, an off-balance, contested jumper might be Kobe’s strongest offensive move. You know the one where he drives past his defender, finds his spot, stops on a dime in front of the help defender, elevates, releases the ball at the height of his jump over an outstretched hand, leans back to put a little more arc on it. If you’re a defender, that’s a great shot to have your opponent take. Any coach would smile at that.” 2 days ago – via The Players' Tribune Gerald Henderson: “But Kobe makes those shots — consistently. And there’s nothing you can do about it… Kobe’s perfected the art of scoring, if that can be done. He has counters to your counters. He has a toolbox full of scoring moves. Every night, he has new tools in there, for new scenarios. Good defense rarely slows Kobe down. In a crazy way, good defense makes Kobe better. It just reveals new moves that he’s been waiting to try out.” 2 days ago – via The Players' Tribune Gerald Henderson, Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers
Lol The tank is rollin now, baby Tonight's loss would've made 11 losses in a row if not for that win against the AD-less Pelicans Good show from DLo against a pretty good backcourt tandem. Next batch of games, DAL-CHI-LAC-CHA-MIN-NOP-SAS-IND-CLE-SAS-CHI-MIL-MEM-MEM Could very well lose every single one of those if AD plays, and then they play Brooklyn.
