He only took 3 shots so he was focusing on passing and rebounding and defense I guess.

So many close losses and they haven't even played 10 games yet..frustrating. Exciting, but frustrating. But they clearly needed KCP, he looks like a keeper, at least this early anyway. For the 3rd time this week I've seen a talking head say that Ingram may have to go to make room for LeBron and George. 1 of the guys, I don't really care for his opinion, but the couple others have their LAL ties and know guys. Stephen A., for all his ignorance concerning LAL and the last FO with Jim and Mitch, he's close to Magic so I do pay some attention when he has little takes on certain guys. Wilbon, the same, close to Magic. Both basically let the cat out of the bag and said Magic was ready to move on from D'angelo long before anybody else and it happened..then they both said the same for Randle before LAL tried to trade him to Boston for Bradley this past summer. And now they're on Ingram.

And unlike D'angelo and Randle, it's not really Ingram's fault. He's done everything the right way, been a model teammate, etc. It's the fact that Kuzma came along and that the presence of LeBron and George could somewhat stifle Ingram's development..but mostly the former. Kuzma changes so much. It's interesting. I could see a scenario where Magic and Pelinka use Ingram as a trade chip to get more draft assets, but to also get rid of Deng's contract. A lot of Laker fans would be extremely pissed about it because obviously it just happened with D'angelo as well, but if they were able to get draft assets again and add more young talent + get rid of Deng + add LeBron/George and open enough room to keep KCP as well, at the end of the day I think most LAL fans would be fine with it all. But a lot of them would wonder why Magic didn't just trade Ingram for Paul George to begin with, and maybe the key there is that Indy had no intentions of taking Deng or giving George what he wanted. Long way to go, of course, so we shall see.

At least the threat of scoring can open up passing opportunities. Not looking for him to score 20 a game.

That being said, his assist numbers last night weren’t mind blowing either.

And the Lakers came away plus 1 in the L column too.
Zo better come with it tonight, no way around that.
You take 2 shots on the 1st night of a back to back, you better be getting double digits shot attempts on the 2nd night.
And it's the Nets, so the W is mandatory.

    Shame about Nance Jr.

Not surprising, though. He's got a long injury history going back to his days at Wyoming.

Trade with the Pelicans and Suns.
    Then sign LeBron

    PG: Lonzo, Bledsoe, Ennis
    SG: Bledsoe, KCP, Hart
    SF: LeBron, KCP, Brewer
    PF: Kuzma, Ingram, Bryant
    C : Cousins, Ingram, Bogut

A tight seven man rotation of LeBron, Cousins, Bledsoe, KCP, Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma would cover all bases that we need going forward.
That works out to 34 minutes each.
In this system the PF is always a tweener like LeBron, Kuzma, or Ingram. When you need a power guy you bring in Bryant.
The main big is always Cousins except when he rests and Bogut comes in or they go really small with Kuzma or LeBron at C.
Which btw is a thing now.

    ku-zzzzzzzzzz

lonzo shot though. Hope he figures it out because defenses are sagging off a lot more and thus he's not able to create and dish as much as there is less space.

    good team win though

Woooweee..Nance hurt..Julius in foul trouble..never fear, Kuz is here.
Kuz with 39 minutes Lol, I know he loved that, had to feel free as a bird.
    More.
    Free Kuz.
Hopefully, his defense continues to get better and Luke doesn't even think of sending him back to the bench in 4-6 weeks.

Kuzma really looking like the steal of the draft night after night.

Kuz playing so well that Ingram is now being overlooked
Ingram with 18 and 10 last night, and averaging 15pts on the season, shooting almost 40% from 3 so far

Was Kuz the guy we picked up using the pick the Nets gave to us after the Russell trade?

If so, hats off to Magic.

Kuzma's numbers are filthy. I thought he was missing a lot of 3s until I looked at his percentage and he's at 33%. I guess I expected him to make everything so I noticed all the misses.

Kuz is missing his share, but he's taking a gang of them. Seems like Lopez is enjoying having Kuz out there. The big deal in getting Lopez was how he was going to open up more space for Randle to work..little did we know, that Kuzma would open up space for Lopez. Lopez is out there whirling and spinning with all that extra space, looking like Dirk lite. He can't do a ton of that with Nance out there.

Give the fucking ball to Ingram and get out of the way Zo until you wanna play
Zo is playing like garbage..but always seems to have the ball..maybe take him out..
Lol Luke draws up the play to take Zo off the ball and it works, then Kuzma almost throws the ball away trying to keep the ball away from Zo on the inbounds, excellent

Excellent game right up to around 4 minutes left in the 4th.

Still probably the best all round effort.

Wonder if steady improvement like this will have FAs looking.
