I liked what I saw from the Lakers tonight. They made a bunch of mistakes and couldnt shoot the 3 for shit, but they kept playing. They may lay an egg the next game, but this is the best they've looked this year. Competing like this will attract free agents.

That's how you come together and have Zo's back, and doing it on national TV, even better..5th most nationally televised games this year, so they'll have plenty more opportunities as well. And maybe the 1st game of the season could've been a bit more competitive had Luke not pulled that Deng stunt against the Clips, but then again KCP was suspended, so maybe not. But that was the Julius that should get a contract extension last night, he just has to embrace playing the 5 and getting dirty. Making key defensive stops in the paint just like Draymond when he plays the 5 for GSW..it was beautiful. I think Luke has found his closing lineup..Julius probably still wants to start, but closing should pacify him enough. Hell of a game from KCP, not surprised to see LAL's defense get better with his return. Really impressed with Ingram last night..averaging 16/5/3 on respectable %'s for a 20yr old wing thus far..think it's possible that he could maintain those numbers. Closer Ingram flashing, a nice development. Kelly Oubre is a fuckin bum.

So going forward Bogut and Zubac should get only garbage minutes. Lopez should get like 28M at C and Randle the other 20. Randle should pick up another 8 minutes at PF. That leaves 40M to split up between Kuzma and Nance which should be ok 20 minutes each.

Thing about that is, everyone in the NBA sees they're not far away from being good. A good player or two makes them a contender. And who wouldn't want to play with Lonzo. He doesn't care about his numbers and makes everyone else look good.
I'd still like for them to get the 8th seed this year and pick up some playoff experience on the way to signing LeBron and whomever else. Get the ball rolling ASAP since the Dodgers won't ever be winning a championship..the city still relies on the Lakers
