Very nice. I was just thinking Trey Burke for 3 or $4M
More shooting. Should compete with Caruso for the starting nod..and maybe KCP

Leaves about $8M in space + the room exception @ $4.7M
    Marcus Morris for 8
    Justin Holiday for 4.7
    Korver, Bradley - vet min

I think Cook might be able to be squeezed in as a vet minimum signing.

I was think his first year number would’ve been 2.5 mil, but for players with 3 years of experience, it’s actually 1.6, so it isn’t and I was wrong

    thats exactly the thing
i actually have more respect for Kawhi doing it like this (massive punk to the Lakers) and seating himself across town
i hate super teams and we are going to have a true rivalry to go along w league competition
sort of ambivalent about who wins it tbh
more good teams is really a win for everyone

i know it looks that way and i have no grasp (does anyone?) of where the guy is coming from
but i think he hit the bong and really thought about it
you said it, the league is fun again

Looks like Kawhi wants to get hurt or embarrassed or something.

Wow, Clips gave up as much for PG as the Lakers did for AD.
Nice deal for them though, puts them right up there for the title until Klipper Kharma kicks in.

    Gotcha.

I'll never root for Lebron so I'm glad he isnt getting any more help.
That's actually not true. The LA Times has conducted several polls since 2008 and the Dodgers edge out the Lakers in popularity. Going further back, Magic, Rambis, and a few other players have said that even during the Showtime era, the Dodgers got the front page. I can't look one direction in public without seeing 2 or three people in Dodgers gear, and that's even in Orange County.

The NBA is a national sport in terms of media coverage (talk radio, mainstream ESPN, etc.) but locally...there are few (if any) markets where the NBA team is more popular than the baseball team. L.A. may be the only market where it's close.

At worst, it's 1A/1B depending on who is performing better, but even then...if push came to shove and only one team could stay, LA would choose the Dodgers. I have no doubt.

Most recent poll was 2016 I think and the Dodgers were the most popular team in southern California.
Yes, the Lakers sucked at the time, but I remember a similar poll during the Lakers last real run (2007-2010) that rendered the same results.

    that surprises me tbh
the nba has done a great job catering their product to younger fans
conversely, mlb has done a horrendous job marketing -- particulary to inner city (read: african american) kids racist
i see kids playing hoops (and soccer) all the time
but i can't tell you the last time i saw kids playing baseball
never cared for david stern too much, but he did his job well
selig and his lag dog manfred are assclowns

Kawhi wins ring with the Clips then moves to the Knicks in 2 years and saves that franchise too.
Kawhi goes down as the man who finished Pops career, killed the Warriors dynasty, created the Raptors, saved the Clippers, and brought respect back to the Knicks.

I would go to the Knicks and offer my services with the condition that Dolan sells.
New York would tear down the statue of liberty and replace it with a statue of Kawhi laughing.

White kids (pop) will always want to do what the black and brown kids are doing.
Whites have no soul to inspire them.
Blacks and Browns have the soul that gives Whites spirit.
But only after they steal it and leave the blacks and the browns without spirit.
Luckily the soul is the wellspring of spirit.
It just sometimes takes time for the heart of the maguey to fill up with aguadulce again.
Once it does you have pulque and if you wait a little longer you can get some fine agave spirit.

I'd love to see Iggy here but he's going to be traded not waived. Maybe they change their minds when there's no real good offer out there.
