I'm a bit late on this, but still want to do this every month for some reference any time we want it, as well as perspective when we feel like we should just quit the rest of the season. In May, here is how the Dodgers did (all rankings are MLB rankings for just month of May): AVG: .247 (20th in MLB), OBP: .329 (7th in MLB), SLG: .405 (11th in MLB), OPS: .734 (8th in MLB) wRC+ 107 (7th in MLB), Walk percentage: 10% (2nd in MLB), K%: 21.3% (10th worst in MLB) Pitching: Starters: ERA: 3.04 (1st in MLB!), FIP: 3.50 (4th in MLB), 3.37 xFIP (4th in MLB) K/9: 7.50 (12th in MLB), BB/9: 2.46 (9th in MLB) Relievers: ERA: 2.82 (9th in MLB), FIP: 2.80 (3rd in MLB), xFIP: 3.28 (5th in MLB) K/9: 10.19 (3rd in MLB), BB/9: 3.19 (15th in MLB)
I'm terrified to imagine what our numbers looked like vs the two teams we hate the most Pitching stats were probably not so bad vs them, but the hitting stats were probably in the AJ Ellis territory.
good stuff doyer starters era is great just kills me when a guy like anderson pitches his ass off last night and gets a loss carlos martinez was there for the taking early last night, and the guys just didn't get it done
Yep. Shoulda scored like 4 runs or more in the first two innings. I'm not a big Donnie hater, nor a J-Roll hater, but if he hits second tonite then Donnie needs his ass whipped.
