    Blue Jays Making “Major Push” For David Price

    The Blue Jays are making a “major push” to acquire star lefty David Price, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports on Twitter. Toronto has long been said to be pursuing one or more arms to bolster its staff, and the ace lefty would certainly do that and more.






    Jays are gonna be a thorn here. They absolutely NEED Price. Dombrowski has a nice looking pool of teams interested in the ace.

    • Despite reportedly being prepared to deal Alex Wood to the Dodgers, the Braves are still listening on Julio Teheran, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports (Twitter links). He suggests, however, that the club may just be hoping for an overpay rather than actively shopping the young righty.
    • Padres righty Tyson Ross is “drawing intense interest,” Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports on Twitter. The Astros, Blue Jays, Cubs, and Dodgers are all in the mix, says Heyman, and Houston could be the “at the forefront” of efforts to pry him away from San Diego. Notably, many of those clubs are also viewed as prime contenders forDavid Price.

    Oh for fucks sake, Toronto is gonna get Price

    I woke up today ready for Alex Wood to go for David Price and now I'm sad as hell. No Price for the second year in a row, no Hamels, and there isn't another ace available.

    Kershaw-Greinke-Anderson-Wood-Latos is good (assuming the trade goes through) but man, team had a chance to be legendary.

    Reds did Tigers a favor with the healthy package they received from KC for Johnny Cueto; set a high market price for renting an ace.






    Reds doing favors...Lol Please. KC bid what they had to bid to get the guy they covet. There are other teams bidding on these guys, driving up market prices. You can get a pretty good return for an ace, " rental " or not, if you have the right pool of teams kicking around.

    I guarantee that is just a rumor started by Detroit to drive the price up on the Dodgers for Price.

    I will probably love the deal with the Marlins and Braves but man, it's gonna be hard not being disappointed with losing out on one of the best pitching trios we would have ever seen.

    Trying to be patient, but idk what else could be done other then a reliever?

    If the first deal gets done, still not by the way, I am perfectly happy.

    Peraza gives them an alternative to Kendrick if he wants too much money or more likely term, or he can move to SS, they keep the 3 top young arms and of course add a controllable Alex Wood.

    I'm just sitting here hoping we get this 3 team deal done, then work out a Price trade immediately kind of like Heaney for Kendrick.

    Starting to look like there was no " Wood/Peraza agreement " in place with DET. Agreed...if those are our guys, we still win. Especially with the Peraza addition.
