NFL FOOTBALL RULES QUESTION When I played football in the leather helmet era there was a play run where the kicking team would attempt to kickoff the ball to an area on the field where no one was standing and then we raced down the field to gain the ball before the recieving team. I think Coach called it an onsides kick and it was our ball. If the ball went near the goal line, in those days, we could advance the ball and perhaps even score a touchdown from a kickoff. Now decades later I watch these sorts of plays all the time never thinking about it much. However earlier today I watched the early portion of the Georgia LSU game and LSU kicked off the ball after a score. The Georgia player declined to receive the ball as he observed it going over his head. It did go over his head and then came to rest still within the end zone. Untouched. I watched an LSU player a second later race into the end zone and grab the 'live' ball. However it was whistled a touchback and the ball came out to Georgia on the 20. No Georgia player had touched the ball to 'down' it, thus in my view it was still a live ball. Just as the LSU player recognized though the zebra didn't care. OK so they change rules all the time but WTF just happened? You guys are sports nuts so maybe someone has a better take.
Lol Carr cried on the field today. That'll wrap it up for him. Both Cooper and Joseph getting shopped. May as well trade Carr too if anybody can absorb his money this year
Vincent Bonsignore @VinnyBonsignore · 1hIf you want to know how accountable Marcus Peters is, #Rams DB coach Aubrey Pleasant pulled me aside and told me Marcus had one request of him this week: “coach me even harder” Lol. Shut up, Marcus. You just said that to get ahead before being reamed.
saw that don't blame khabib for trying but floyd won't be biting unless its conor or manny (ie $$,$$$,$$$)
UFC is sitting back and loving it. So long as Khabib keeps talking/gaining notoriety, and they have the money to pay him, he'll be back and he and Conor will lock horns again in a rematch. Or he'll slap Conor around again, I should say. Khabib also now says he believes the UFC staged Conor's bus attack..of course they did. And what he did after the fight was even better for the UFC. Everybody has their role, whether they know it or not.
the funniest was dana white trying to look upset i give conor for calling for a rematch, but i don't see any way he beats khabib in a rematch this isn't eddie alvarez or nate diaz khabib is an amazingly strong and skilled grappler
The Rams won a game that was in freezing weather, in altitude and not playing their best. Seems like just a win in a long season but that was a very good example of how the team can adapt, get challenged and win. Go Rams!!!
Conor probably doesn't see himself winning either..not in the ring, anyway. Definitely winning when he gets the check. Conor's been tainted. He sees the green now. He'll train hard and do his best to win the fight, but he knows the only win that really matters at this stage is the purse. So long as nobody dies in any of these UFC episodes, UFC wins. Wish I could've been at that back room meeting.." Everybody good? Nobody died, none of the fans got seriously injured? Cool. That was fuckin awesome, bro! Where are we doing the rematch? What's our next headline? I know. Let's keep Khabib's money and make him talk. " And now Khabib is all in on cashing in, wants Mayweather first. Lol So damn predictable
