About a year ago I never thought I'd use Pedro Baez and "dependable" in the same sentence. He's been that and then some.

That Maeda guy wasn't bad tonight, either.

What I really admire about Baez is how he's worked his change and slider effectively into his repertoire. Now he can produce ground balls with those secondary pitches instead of relying solely on fastballs up in the zone.

Always viewed Baez as somewhat of a meathead (has a head like a pot roast), but he's really evolved.

Wish Kershaw and Kenley could do something with a change, but I'm not holding my breath.

in one respect i like the fact that he's wanting to establish his will and attempt to dominate like he used to
otoh he's not that guy anymore and he needs to evolve so this isn't going to work going forward

Dude is a notorious baby and I hope the team doesnt give into his stubborn, delusional attitude.

Threatened to quit when they turned him into a pitcher. He still doesnt trust that they have his best interest in mind?

    0-2 count on Marwin Gonzalez.

This guy acts like he's a Dodger legend when he's a notorious choker who played a huge role in us blowing the WS vs Houston. Unforgivable.

I'd create a thread for him but he is honestly hopeless.

This franchise cannot afford to extend their WS drought just because they dont want to bruise the egos of Kenley and Kershaw. They had their chances and blew it. Their stuff has diminished and if other guys give us a better chance, so be it. If Kenley is bumped to the 7th or traded, so be it. If Kershaw is the game 3 or 4 starter in a playoff series, so be it.
It is about the team. Not them.
