Go ahead and dig up 'that' quote .. I'll wait. I said, and repeated, that we whites have the numbers and, as such, enjoy the privilage of having the numbers. Whatever you're going on about I do not know.

I discussed white privilage at whites having the population numbers throughout the USA.
It was Rube who brought up white supremacy being the same. Bark elsewhere.
I've nothing to say, why ? If you have lived your life that way then we should all be proud of your efforts.
I have not been so noble. It took a few years to get over the beatdowns in middle school. I try to be more fair now so maybe I notice when it sounds otherwise.
Perhaps if I were as noble as you I wouldn't mind reading openly racist comments daily on DSP. But I do.
this doesn't paint me as a liberal nor a conservative, just a human being, a parent trying to care about others. Sometimes.

We're all one species but we are more different than many imagine. Genetic learning has protected us from many things we no longer understand. Threats that are no longer threats but we're still hard wired for them. Race is one of them. I travel in Asia a lot and it's somewhat remarkable how the concept of 'privilage' works over there too. They may all look like 'Asians' to us but you better believe that a Chinese recognizes a Korean or a Japanese on sight and affords each 'white man' style privilage. Said deference explicitly not offered to Viet's or Thai's in China. There is a pecking order. The Chinese might hate their former ruling Japanese but they still provide deference... exactly like minorities do for us in the USA. With similar minor backlashes.

The least we can do is be aware that others are different, but still humans with the same rights.

Yeah actually read it all again, I DID NOT accuse anyone of that.
@rube brought up his own theory that white privilage, at having the numbers, was the same as white supremacy which set off other rants. I was trying to make the point that a) we have more whites; b) we whites are in control, have been in control, will remain in control; c) since WE are in control we should make this world a better, less racist place.

Try not to misconstrue that please

Spear shaker decided to throw down for dinner tonight.
Right down my alley too. It's like my mountain is a lightning rod.
It allows me to be the big bully that I am in my heart.
I get to yell at everyone to get the fuck under the safe place.
I get to grab people by the shirt and pull them towards me.
And read them the riot act for not taking earthquakes seriously.
Or taking them so seriously they freeze in place.
Or worse yet that that they are so preoccupied that they turn back to lower the flame so the steak doesn't burn.
It is rare when you get to yell at your family and they love you more for it.
All too frequently when you have a pleasant disposition folks take it for granted.
Being too nice is a huge sin. Because there are moments when being nice can get people killed.
And when it is time for you to stop being nice these same people become stubborn, butthurt, and then lash out with all their might.
Even when you are using words and tones that are completely out of the character they have grown to know and love.
Instead of stopping to think about why this person is acting completely out of character they instead become extremely offended.
It is a terminal illness that causes people to miss the burning forest because their bodhi tree fell and down and nobody cared.

I am sorry you struggle with treating black people the same way you treat white people but that is your problem, I do not struggle with that issue. If I do not know you then I don't give a fuck about you, unless you're a woman then I will only care depending on how much I wanna have sex with you. It doesn't matter what color you are or even if you're one of those pussies, who thinks a pussy should now be called a front hole cause it offends gay dudes who chopped their cock off and drilled a hole in themseles. Not enough time in this world to care that much about the hue of somebody's skin tone or what kinda freak sex shit you are into.

“If Trump wanted Hillary locked up so bad he should have hired her”

Had to reach for my cocktail...

if any company can do something like this and weather it it would be nike
maybe they can have him fully explain exactly why he's kneeling lol
if everything goes as planned for them they will make millions of social justice YAY
a multi billion dollar company profiting off whatever the fuck its about
and he was already under contract so i wouldn't think he's going to be making more per se
as for me i will vote w my wallet and hope others will as well

Maybe he will wear his pig socks and his Castro T-shirt.

Hoping this blows up in Nike's face big time.

No doubt it’s enirely about the money for Nike. But they took a massive risk knowing the move would come with consumer backlash and likely backlash from the president which can have several financial ramifications. Guess Kap was worth the risk for them which is commendable.

And while it is true Kaepernick has been a Nike sponsored athlete since 2011, he received a new wide endorsement deal. He’ll have his own branded line, shoes, apparel etc and will receive royalties. His new deal puts him on par with other Nike “star” athletes.

Nike can do what they want.
I have no problems with this. Not my money. I likes my nikes.
I like addidas and puma more style wise, and new balance and asics more comfort wise... but nike always wins.
She has cornered the niche on victory.

Certain types of people are gonna burn their nike gear in protest.
Then go buy more nike gear when they don't like the feel or fit of whatever brand they switch to.
    Nike will be alright.
If Cap gets a better nike deal out of this it will help recover lost wages from not playing in the NFL.

I don't really care about the Kap thing. If he wants to kneel for the national anthem, good for him. If his employer doesn't want him to do that on company time, I get that too.

But burning perfectly good gear is stupid.
It's your property and you can do whatever you want with it.
If you're butthurt about Nike supporting someone you don't like, at least donate the stuff to someone that could use it.
But kind of a silly thing to be butthurt about.

i actually don't agree its only about the money
i think nike is taking a stand on something that many feel pretty passionate about one way or the other
they stand more to lose than to gain imo although it just comes down to who will pay for the shoes
for me personally i will wear the stuff i have but will likely not buy the product in the future
thats my choice to shop w my dollars just like its theirs to support their "hero"
now if they chose to have a campaign saying "believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything" and used say Pat Tillman...
kind of makes Kaps "sacrificing" look pretty stupid imo
putting him on par w star athletes is pretty stupid as well since he isn't and never was a star on that level
they have put social commentary into their business model and time will tell
but as i said initially its not like they are going to lose in the long run imo so meh
so far today shares are off 3% fwiw

Maybe not entirely about the money but it’s definitely a large component. There’s no way they show this much support for Kap if it meant adidas, puma, UA would get some of their market share. But I think it’s also Nike appeasing their top grossing sponsored athletes (who are primarily black). They know this will have a positive effect when recruiting future athletes which = more $$.

Also let it be known Adidas and Puma tried to poach Kap from Nike. Will you boycott their products as well? I’m sure they had the same vision as Nike does with Kaepernick.
