WARNING: THIS IS AN INTENDED DISCUSSION OF USA AND WORLDWIDE POLITICS

Do not join in unless you are:
    • Thick Skinned
    • Willing to be questioned
    • Capable of backing opinions with (semi)credible sources
    • Capable of thinking past your own Parties "party line"
    • Capable of considering all evidence submitted in a reply without merely restating original claims
    • Capable of not being a simpleteon douche and calling someone out to fistfight on Ventura Bl.
    • Capable of restraint from every post being an open call to outright anarchy (sorry Rube)

As I've stated openly to anyone here who's been kind enough to listen, I personally feel betrayed by both major parties as an overwhelming preponderance of evidence is that both Clinton and Trump are lying disingenuous hateful thieves using rhetorical slurs to keep America divided.

(Personal Disclosure: I'm a long time business owner, engineer and father of college educated kids and I've voted Republican for at least 30 years before changing to Democrat this year to vote against Hillary. Also in support of some of Sander's more egalitarian policies. I back up what I say and this week alone received multiple correspondences from three different candidates in CA responding to my previous inquiries. I don't like what's happened in politics and I'm spending an effort getting under the skins of the ones in my area that should be held accountable, whether I voted for them or not. I ALWAYS VOTE. Always. When Rube doesn't vote then my vote counts double. When others are intimidated by the entire voting process then my vote counts for 8 or 10 votes.)

Participate or not. If you just want to bkitch from the sidelines then that's OK too provided you admit that you have chosen to abandon your only strength and as such nobody should care WTF you think since you bowed out before trying.

Further I'll wager that our conversations here on DSP, however sarcastic, slanted or biased, will always be better than the behaviors displayed by these two pathological liars.

You will note that there is ample evidence speaking against either candidate and it has already been confirmed that each side is merely trying to throw so much chaff in the air that most people will still listen to what they want to hear while ignoring anything to the contrary. Therefore do not be surprised if I post on the BS being displayed on both sides of the aisle.

I am equally underwhelmed by both Clinton and Trump. This disgusts a great many of my friends who steadfastly claim that one is still better for our country than the other.

My friends are wrong. Both are bad for America.

(CNN)A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the US Secret Service has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.

"There has been more than one conversation" on the topic, the official told CNN.
But it's unclear at what level in the campaign structure the conversations occurred.
The campaign told the USSS that Donald Trump did not intend to incite violence, according to the official.
"No such meeting or conversation ever happened," Trump tweeted in response to CNN's report.
(proving once again he's out of touch or just lying)

The controversy erupted on Tuesday afternoon when Trump said at a rally that Second Amendment defenders might be able to stop Clinton from appointing justices to the Supreme Court who could weaken gun rights.
"Hillary wants to abolish -- essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know," Trump said. "But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we're tied."

The Secret Service's communications director Cathy Milhoan has not confirmed the conversations between the campaign and the Secret Service, but said in a statement Tuesday that "the U.S. Secret Service is aware of Mr. Trump's comments."
Trump said Tuesday evening that he was simply trying to unify gun owners against Clinton in the voting booth.
"This is a political movement. This is a strong political movement, the Second Amendment," Trump said to Fox News' Sean Hannity. "And there can be no other interpretation ... I mean, give me a break."
Clinton responded Wednesday to Trump's suggestion at an Iowa rally, saying, "words matter."
"Words matter my friends, and if you are running to be president or you are president of the United States, words can have tremendous consequences," Clinton said. "Yesterday we witnessed the latest in a long line of casual comments from Donald Trump that cross the line."

The Republican presidential nominee's supporters Wednesday attempted to quell the controversy, saying either that Trump was joking or that Democrats and the media were spinning it into something bigger than it was. Many interpreted Trump's comments as a threat to rival Hillary Clinton.
Corey Lewandowski, Trump's former campaign manager, said the billionaire businessman was trying to unite Second Amendment supporters to turn out to defeat Clinton.

"This was a joke ... He wasn't inciting violence," Lewandowski told Chris Cuomo on CNN's New Day.

Ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that the Clinton campaign and the press were misconstruing Trump's words.

"What he intended is very, very simple -- that (gun owners) should vote against her," Giuliani said on ABC's Good Morning America. "He had no idea that anybody would interpret his words that way. It was so obvious to all of us what he meant."

Maine Sen. Susan Collins, who said she won't vote for either party's candidate, said on CNN's "New Day" Wednesday that she did not think Trump was inciting violence, but that he has only himself to blame for people leaping to that conclusion because of his consistent "stream of inappropriate and reckless comments."

(To the surprise of exactly no one)
But Clinton supporters continued to slam Trump on Wednesday, saying that violence is never a joking matter.
"Words matter, particularly from those folks who want to be president of the United States," Clinton surrogate Christine Quinn, a former New York City Council speaker, said on "New Day." "To think that joking about any kind of violence could be funny ... simply reflects a disregard for the impact of violence."

Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm agreed, telling Cuomo that joking about assassinating a candidate is not presidential.
"It is, in fact, dangerous for the country," she said.
Bernice King, the daughter of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., took to Twitter to voice her concerns.
"As the daughter of a leader who was assassinated, I find #Trump's comments distasteful, disturbing, dangerous," she tweeted.

OK I started today with the latest article on the orange one so tomorrow I'll deliberately seek out something pithy about the lying wretch's claimed ignorance about Benghazi. Or I wiped by hard drive with a rag t oget the dust off.

Actually I think not. The DSP rabble simply needs to know the ground rules in advance. No hurt feelings. This thread is outside the Off Topic thread so as to permit discourse without losing access to the latest music video or whatever

And not even Rube is disqualified, as he's loathe to miss any opportunity to parry and thrust since we actually agree a surprisingly high percentage of the time and both know the system is corroded. Not that he'll agree to agreeing with me, of course, of course.

I hate Trump but I think this is just a case of the idiot tripping over his dick again. He has a huge knack for saying things just the wrong way. But make no mistake, it's that very knack that will have this country in deep shit on the global scene.

    Stupid media.
An anonymous source with the SECRET service says it has spoken to Trump twice.
I doubt the SS goes around telling people what it does. Much less reporters.
    Fucking liars.

You know you just quote the Sen from Maine Susan Collins who also won't be voting in this election.
She is in the rube party... my kinda gal.

    And you are too.
    We agree on so much.
But you can't let go of the cold comfort that is believing that you make a difference with your vote. You even think it means more than others lol.
    Delusion.
Almost as bad as a religious fundy.
Except it takes a lot more faith to believe in this shit you believe in.

Fuck all you'all......Trump is a dangerous, silver spoon stuck in his ass, crazy mofo....and if anyone votes for that MoFo, you better start building your '60 style survival bunkers because he apparently doesnt kniw why nuclear weapons area deterrent, not offensive weapon.

And, oh yeah, I hope Trump drags down all these hypocritical so called conservative/libertarian republicans in the house and senate basically thumbing their nose at fair play and the better good of the US by blocking a confirmation hearing for Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, and by trying to defund legalized abortions by attaching that to funds slated for Zika eradication.

Fuck all these conservative assholes thinking that only rich white people count and that they can get their cake and eat it too by creating their, own monster in Trump and then feighning exasperation at their nominee....all the while being too chicken shit to not endorese this sociopathic asshole.

    Flame away....

    Trump is Frankenstein.
And the conservatives are the Dr.
But we all know that hillary isn't Bills wife. She's his hetero life mate.
Hillary actually the bride of Frankenstein.

She said she won't be voting for one of the two major parties, she didn't say she won't be voting. And that only refers to her vote for president, not her votes for everything/everyone else on the ballot. Besides, she's a Republican Senator, so she's most likely just saving face with that comment. If you are a US senator for a major party and you vocally say you aren't picking a side... you're kinda picking a side.

    Same here.
Im talking about not voting for prez/king.
I have never said that voting in your local community is worthless.
Or that you shouldnt vote for congressmen or measures.
And isnt everyones opinion that voting third party is a non issue?
My last vote was third party btw.
Not unlike Susan i waw a republican who did not want to vote for the guy representing the party Bushs 2nd run. So i voted Chuck Baldwin.
It wasnt a vote for the guy running against Bush... Just not a vote for him.
Just like Susan voting thire party is not a vote for Hillary.
Who the fuck cares if shes a senator?
She still pisses out her vagina like any other senescent old broad. Senators are not any better or different than you or I in regards to voting.
Senator means the council of elders. This isnt britain with its house of lords.
Although you wouldnt know it the way Americans have become bootlicking starfuckers.

First off, I apologize for implying you are promoting not voting in general. I thought that's what you said, so my bad.

Leaving your presidential vote blank or voting third party are ways to send a message, although you are essentially giving up your vote for that particular election. If you believe that message is worth it, more power to you. Personally, I don't think this is the election to do that or promote that, but hell... you live in California, so throwing your presidential vote away doesn't matter as much.

As far as Susan Collins being a Senator, it absolutely does matter. You won't lose your job by saying who you are/aren't voting for. She could easily lose a reelection because of who she supports in this campaign. She took the easy path, politician's path, by supporting no one. A bit of a cop-out TBH. But she's a Rep Senator who wants to run for governor in a blue state, so she has to walk the moderate line. Politics. I'd bet a lobster roll she's lying and when the curtain is closed she'll actually vote for a major party candidate.

    California doesnt matter?

That this shit is a game.
