i have a feeling a lot of people in that Dodger clubhouse will enjoy the Kempless Dodgers..especially after all the crybaby/diva shit he pulled this past year that helped make his own exit possible. i wish for the Dodgers to kick the Padres' asses every year..Kemp or no Kemp. the fact that you can't even tell me that the Padres are gonna compete says enough for how they're coming out in this trade. in 2 or 3 years, Kemp is either gone or not nearly as good anyway. again, he's 30. Padres have a super-small window with Kemp and they're not good right now.

I have never said the Dodgers are fucked or will do poorly not at all in fact I was run out of town just one year ago on this forum when I saidKemp would be traded because of his Khardasian relationship and how that wouldn't help the selling of the tv contract to mid America which TW needed to get cable companies to sign on. So my concern is not just about Kemp leaving but the reality that the judge has twice declined to dismiss the law suit against Puig. Yes it appears that many of the rumors and many of the allegations will have their day in court. Do we really think another team would have wanted to trade for that possible circus and the alleged death threats against him that prompted increased security. Yeah Time Warner is on a roll with getting cable providers to jump on board and if Kemp gets healthy we know what that means. So I yield on this topic took me a year to get it but I do now. Yup I suggested trading Kemp for business reasons a year ago and go run out of town. I never watch the entire game and focus more on when we are at bat. It is called skimming through the game as with the MLB package you can skip back or to specific innings. Check the box score and game highlights and go to it. Watching a game focus on the top of the batting order etc etc. Being retired gives a special meaning to time. Hell I am on the east coast and I can go to bed, wake up at 4 to pee, go to my IPad and check to see how Asian markets closed and European markets opened and if there are any highlights that can't wait from anyone I am interested in. Same way with football go on time delay and if Ben is having a good game watch the game. If the Steelers are sucking eggs go on to something more useful.
it's " rebuild the franchise that McCourt tore down " or bust and it takes longer than 3 years to do that. winning the division next year, winning the WS next year are obviously goals on a smaller scale, but the ultimate goal is to have a baseball factory that rivals the other elite orgs.

You do realize that as things currently stand I have a choice and many Dodger fans in the LA area don't There choices depending on geography could be the Angels and no Dodgers. Hmmm interesting thought are there the many who can get the Padres and Marlins but not the Dodgers. What say you on what they do? Might they check in? There is a legitimate business school of thought that OMalley is wanting to expand the Padres fan north at the expense of the Dodgers and Angels. If south of LA the Dodgers aren't available and the Padres are might some of those Dodger fans tune in. There are a lot of moving pieces at play in all of this and don't discount the anxiety but many in professional sports ownership about our tv contract and the push for ala carte subscriptions as the tv industry is changing. Remember the McCourts and our frequent discussions on here and what various posters said and how that eventually played out.
