It'd be pretty fucked up if they traded Uribe, but it's probably for the best.

Even if they dump Ethier and Crawford, Olivera's at 3B unless they let Kendrick go and move Olivera to 2B.

It's a balancing act, though, because Crawford himself has proven to be a spark for this team from July to October.

Gammons said Olivera had 5 teams with offers over 70 million. Looks like he was wrong.

    You were saying?

Not a damn thing about his updates throughout this ordeal..just that you said you ignore him.

But everybody here kicks sources..Rosendouche should have 101 bootprints on his ass.

Dave Cameron, I believe it was, compared Olivera to Turner. Lol I guess we'll see about that from up close now.

Given Uribe's age and history, it's not crazy to assume Uribe won't play a full season this year. Given that, mixed with possibility of any other injury to a 2B/3B or the chances of a decline from Uribe and Turner, I can see this guy having a spot on the team if he's good enough by like June

I don't trust Uribe's hamstrings. So I could definitely see that too.

Lots of good reasons with perhaps the very last reason on the list reading something similar to - " he doesn't go to San Diego. " Preller was a little shithead in the Kemp ordeal, trying to extort LAD after having agreed to the trade.

Rosenthal is basically always on point with his reports. I don't ignore them, just often hesitant to believe some of their reports.

It's possible that nobody else had the money right now to pony up a a $28M signing bonus, so he took a little less for more upfront.

Like when he reported that Shields had a 110M offer on the table not long ago?

I'll go on record and say I'm not enamored with this signing, just a feeling but I think his arm will be an issue. What's with another thread or was the other thread consolidated afterwards. A minor issue not the end of the world.

He is not a Starting pitcher and that will be the demise of this team............As will the middle relief............and of course the "Manager" DDD.

Going to score a lot of runs.

Going to have to when Kersh and Grainkey aren't pitching.

Koufax, I think Anderson is going to change your mind about the starting pitching. If he stays healthy, I'm not worried.

Big "if" and we seem to always be on the wrong side of giving up early, ala Jayson Werth and IMO Matt Kemp.

    :drunk:

Or offer Zach Lee and Brandon League to the Philthys for teh Tin Man.

    :shot:

    :wobbly:

    Or

Give Ted Lilly a call? He could probably use the cash.

Shields had other offers higher than the Padres one. No one knows for how much more. That 110 million also came with the added on note that he had no interest in playing for that team.

That supposed 110M offer eventually came with the added note that it was a false report.
