Every game I look at the lineup and think, "why the hell does he insist on facing everyone (other teams) with one hand behind our back"
he's the easiest to blame because he is to blame he's the manager -- it's his job to get them ready to play and if one balked in run is the most you can motivate your guys to do with a pep talk, then you're not doing it right i'll agree it's not all his fault but most of it is
meh I don't really buy that, coaches in baseball have the least effect on the team, the team will play well or it won't at the end of the day. and the team has consistently won under Mattingly anyways, not sure all the complaining about another first place team.
depends on your definition of success we're still leading the west only because the giants are somehow playing even worse than us until tonight when that all changes and come monday who knows?...
Kike saved his monkey ass last night. counting this SFG series, a 7 game losing streak was staring him right in the face.
and how's that record against >.500 teams? one thing to beat up the pads and dbags but if you can't win series against teams like the cards, giants and rangers you won't last long come october
irrelevant. Dodgers beat the Giants and Cardinals in the regular season last year, doesn't mean anything.
Mine is playing for World Championships. Just getting to a World Series would be nice. Division titles are like horse shoes and hand grenades.
it's irrelevant only if something different happens in october and i don't think getting our asses handed to us so far by >.500 teams guarantees us success in the postseason but back to mattingly i said he was shit, you and codge said he wasn't as bad as i was making okay, "not as bad", fine can you tell me he's a good manager?
I just emailed Carfado and asked him where he'd rank DDD now. I explained how I felt he was over rated at 17.
I'm not going to say he's a good manager and I'm not going to say he sucks lizard nuts, but I am going to say that Adrian and Puig not being able to hit (insert no name pitcher here) is not a reflection of Donnie's ability or lack thereof.
