Ok so serious question. Who is available right now that you would hire to replace Donnie.

Bud Black- just because he's available or because you would legitimately want him for a long term solution.

Wallach ? Interim or long term?

    Who else?

Maybe someone could make a poll with real replacement ideas?

I hear everyone's gripes but let's discuss Solution as well.

Byrnes would probably endorse Buddy Black.

he and Honeycutt could work well together.

Bud Black is a good manager. Wallach should be given a shot just because he deserves it. There are probably half a dozen guys out there who would be good candidates but I'm too lazy to think of them.

I would guess Wallach. Maybe they test him out and if they feel he's not working out, they go out at the end of the season and look for someone new. Maybe Bud Black if he's still around.

I was watching this, and wondering why Dum Dum wasn't taking Frias out....and then boom, HR. Game over. Always a move too late.

Mattingly fucking has to go. He just has to leave. Bochey does 10x so much with 1/2 the players.

I'm sick of him managing this team.

People have felt he earned the spot initially over Don since he was in our minor league system actually learning to manage.

Instead, Don was gifted the job after Torre left and spent a couple weeks coaching the Desert Dogs.

I'll cut to the chase. The most exciting, Puig like moment that I can possibly expect.....the game changer that will satisfy me more than anything is getting Mattingly out of here.

It's pathetic what is going on...what has been going on for the past three years. I'm sick of this.

When's the last time a manager was fired with a winning record? Or in first place?

Can blame Donnie all you want. Not his fault Frias goes wandering out there every five days.

It's clear, the Giants have that switch that says "we gotta win these games, and we're going to have a strategy to do that."

The Dodgers have a switch that says "Hey, what are you doing after the game tonight? Don't know....but Mattingly is having a bro BBQ at his house. You wanna come?"

Difference between a pro Manager and an average admin guy.

Actually Mattingly can, like NOT PITCH HIM AS A STARTER!

Or at least give him a really short leash. Cmon, stop making excuses for the guy. He makes the lineup and pitching decisions. Who else fault is it about the starting pitching?

Is he motivating anyone? Is anyone playing out of their shoes for him? Is he a strategic manager? He's not anything right now! At least Lasorda could motivate!

You know, my theory is that you need a former pitcher or catcher to manage, especially in the National League. Pitching and strategic hitting are a must, and a former power hitter in the American League is not your ideal manager for an NL team.

NZ isn't a Mattingly fan. I thinks he's saying ther FO needs to step up and get us a starter instead of pushing Frias out there.

Please explain which part. The Dodgers have a bunch a high paid pre madonnas, that don't have a manager that can control that mess.

Tell me there is something else at work here that is causing this team to be soooooooo pathetic against teams they HAVE TO BEAT to rightfully say they are championship contenders?

Why are we seeing this year in, year out with 2x the payroll and presumably 2x the talent?
