Thanks Darth... my view matches yours precisely Good fucking riddance to this asshat.. and his bkitch of an ex
I guess there is truth to that...but it's not like it's greed or sloth or overkill now...it's about gd time we were at least in it again. And I certainly am not one of these people who is comforted by the lame ass excuse "what about the Cubs, etc.". That's their misfortunes...none of my own. Woopee ti-yi-yee... With the money, the players, the tradition, and the loyal fans, to stand where we do in the framework of WS winners in all these recent years, is just sad incompetence.
What's grating to me is all shit I have to take from fucking Giant fans (it's about 50-50 where I live). There was a time in the recent past when we could hold zero Series titles since the West Coast move against them. Not anymore. Now we're sucking hind tit.
At least I don't get that Giant shit very often...unless it's a flat out Dodger hater old timer from Brooklyn who is still pissed off...but I'll tell you, the Met bullshit is on the rise. As well as to be expected I guess. They just look at the LA hat, and smirk or smile. You can't live with'em, and you can't kill 'em.
I think it had a lot more with just not wanting to lose to the Giants. I feel the same way because I can't stand losing to those fucks, but in the grand scheme of the whole season, it's a very small portion of it. Take today for example. The Giants are about to lose and go 6-4; if we win we're 6-4 and tied for first place. Just have to get em the next time around which would be this weekend. The only culture of losing I've seen is from shit performances in the playoffs. Just because we lose a few games in April doesn't mean anything. Especially when we play them like 15 more time this year. The players just need to step up once they're in the playoffs.
Knowing what we know today, do you think Doc would pitch Kenley for 5 outs to seal a Nono today, with the caveat he hadn't gone last night, and if so, should he have in SF?
During the game I was perplexed that he didn't put Kenley in if he was going to pull the pitcher throwing a no no. My opinion at the time was to keep the no no going, and damn the pitch count just for this occasion.
You make my point...I , of course, am referring to the playoffs, which losing in year after year, ends the season. I'm aware of the NLW championships, 94 win season etc. What does it matter if you watch others in the WS every year? Not stepping up is the losing cultiure. See: Atlanta Braves.
Completely agree, especially up there. Skip a start if necessary if you're worried about taxing the elbow.
It's interesting you make the comparison to the Braves because I've done the same before also. Like I said in another thread, it's all good to build from within and all, but at some point the FO needs to realize it's the Los Angeles Dodgers and need to get that big FA.
Ryu now down for much longer too. Joc is a mess. BP still shaky. Kazmir is not a 2. Is "Incomplete" an actual grade?
Wood is AMAZING at one thing, killing streaks! So, to tally up this particular sad chapter, the brainfart, errr braintrust ACTUALLY PAID the other wife beater 22 million dollars before trading him for this waste of roster space, a gas can who's gone and another name who didn't make the roster..... FUCK YEAH!!!!
