Thompson to the DL. http://m.dodgers.mlb.com/news/article/189963424/dodgers-put-trayce-thompson-on-dl/
I guess that is a consideration...well , you have your own present day Dodgers with truly great players and without a legacy or WS matchup to witness. So far anyway.
HoF traded in his prime for stupidity. HoF traded to win now in stupidity. All Star traded before prime. 5 tool beast who was never appreciated enough by most fans, Solid ballplayer, that generations Andre Ethier, Asian token solid pitcher, that generations Ryu/Maeda. HoF 5 tool beast who was traded in his prime for stupid stupid reasons.
I thought it was well made, I suppose. But I just couldn't enjoy it for obvious reasons. I remember virtually nothing about the 90s Dodgers. But I remember when Piazza was traded.
Pedro is our poor mans bambino curse. That will haunt us until we win a WS. Konerko was gut wrenching cock slap that still pisses me off. Piazza trade was dumb but at least we got 5 of his HOF years. While Mondesi is my all time favorite player, Green produced much better. Got the most out of Karros and Nomo. And I truly believe Beltre wouldn't have had as good of a career had he stayed in Dodger Blue, more akin to his SEA years as opposed to his cushy hitter park years. Still a very good player but probably not a HOF imo. A number of those moves hurt, a lot, but the Pedro trade is ultimately what denied us a WS. At least CK hasnt been traded for billy hamilton.
Beltre wasn't even traded, they let him go as a free agent because McCourt = scum. Not so much a result of stupidity (of which there was plenty during his regime) as a sheer absence of integrity. 400 HR third baseman with consistently elite defense. He'll go in on the first ballot.
I wasnt arguing that. His resume is a HOF now. But I'm saying he probably would have hit less had he stayed a dodger. Just my opinion.
Disagree on Beltre. At age 25 he put together the best season (by far) of any Dodger 3B. He would have killed it in LA.
depends if it's a game in march/april or you're out of contention, no but if it's a game you need to win, then you do whatever you have to imo
I dont know why i said traded, but you got my point. Dude was given away. Homegrown superstars you just dont give away. They are worth a lot more than just the stats, they are legacy builders.
His 04 was the stuff of legends. But his previous three years weren't nor were his following 5 in SEA. Great player no doubt, but didnt kill it until he got into a hitters park.
The D backs can't stick with this 8 uniform/4 color/3 logo thing long term, can they? Branding apocalypse.
hate everything about that stupid organization hate them more than the giants tbh don't like the giants, but i respect them have zero respect for the dbags
Cute? 2 homers and 2 doubles with nobody on is cute. Hit for the cycle with runners on every time and that's a fucking monster.
