    Problem is, Bruce has a club option for another season @ a reasonable 13MM figure.
    A 29yr old, established power threat that can be dropped into prime spots in the batting order and with a sprinkle of team control, there's some value there.
    Puig is pretty much classified as a 25yr old developmental piece in his 4th campaign, and one that's polarizing.
    The former is probably more worrying than the latter, I mean I totally get why teams are turning up their nose at all the drama there, he's no longer young enough to baby and he's made his share of millions as well.

    But as it is, it doesn't look like the Bruce for Puig straight up thing ever made it anywhere as Cincy actually wanted prospects and not Puig at all.
    One reason why I could see the nerds maybe feeling like they need to deal Puig is because the market is spinning out all of these trades where teams are overpaying for meh.
    As stock guys they may feel like it's now or never in terms of what they could potentially net for him, especially coupled with his continued descent.

    Well, Braves close to getting Kemp. If anyone remembers the ESPN boards I swear we saw Matt Kemp trade rumors to the Braves every month he played for us.

    Amazing how a lot of us thought Olivera was going to be a great acquisition for us and turns out he's been a bust so far. Can't help but think that we may have dodged a bullet when we lost out on Gurriel. Time will tell of course. Anyone know how much we are still on the hook for on Olivera?
