It actually is important. But credit where credit is due. Those swings were nice today. I've only seen the first one on the MLB At Bat app but I'll take your word on the other. Still need to see a lot more before mocking anyone who's been critical of him. Driving the ball to RF consistently with authority and getting back to hitting line drives would trigger some legit optimism with me. He doesn't seem to have a lot of plate coverage either. I want him to succeed. Whether that means leading us to a WS or netting us a good player. Nobody benefits if he sucks.
Atta boy, Kike was making some hard contact at the end of ST, hopefully it's a sign of things to come this season. Also, Barnes is pretty damn fast
Of course its important. But its not as important as results. The same results Puig has been giving since before he was sent to AAA.
Mechanics are critical to sustaining success, which we all want Puig to do. I don't feel I'm that harsh on the guy. Heat of the moment I'll say crap. But overall I defend him against popular opinion that he was only good for a few months in 2013. He was excellent in 2014 as well and remains an elite outfielder. But the bat has been absent for a long time. We all want to buy in. I've said it many times that Puig being good at hitting covers a multitude of sins for this team.
I'm looking forward to 4/5 of the rotation breaking 80 pitches, this plan is going to be great for us heading into Coors
Only one Rockies pitcher went 6 in their 4 game series and each of their wins were close enough that they had to use their top relievers in 3 of the 4 games. One teams bullpen has been heavily used so far and it won't likely be ours
I like the look of Wood in a Blanton/multi inning type of role, has that awkwardness working Wonder how mad ARod will be if Jeter buys his hometown Marlins Lol
Puig's willingness to take walks even while his bat bat is hot says a lot about where his head may be. Not a bad sign.
