With guys like Stripling, Hatcher and possibly Baez, the more they pitch the more their shortcomings are exposed. These guys can all be effective in small doses. Shame this paper thin starting staff doesn't afford Roberts that chance. The return of Urias will help somewhat, but you still have 3 of the 5 starters that are considered question marks.
imo our penpitching is extremely overrated other than kersh and kenley, i have zero confidence on whoever else is on the bump hill would be fine, but his blister issue is [obviously] beyond annoying imo wood needs to go back to the pen where he was effective mehcarthy may be better there too stripling is extremely limited because (w/o velocity) he has to rely on location/movement too much maeda and ryu are useless as starters or relievers rHomo is effective only against [the few] guys [still] suckers for his slider hatcher can go fuck off that leaves avilan, baez, fields who (tbh) would all be much more effective if they weren't overtaxed by the starters (not named kershaw) going 5 innings or less brock and ravin will both be useful upon their returns and is yimi ever coming back or does he have aids or something? all in all not the best staff, but the relievers would be a lot better if the starters (again, not named kershaw) could go a little longer (no homo)
forgot about libby but he too will fall victim to overuse if the starters can't regularly (periodically?) go more than 4-5 innings
nice to see our .263/.354/.298 1b still hitting cleanup • joc • corey • ginger • adrianna • yaz • toles • pig • utley • mehcarthy
pathetic for a cleanup hitter to get shutdown on three straight fastballs miller just did the classic "here it, is hit it" to him shameful, agon needs to go #codybellinger2017
