DEAR BASEBALL GOD, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS GREATEST DODGER SEASON FOR NAUGHT...AND NOT LET US GO ALL THE WAY. YOU CAN SHOW ALL THE LOYAL DODGER FANS BY GIVING US A SIGN. JUST BLOCK OUT THE SUN DURING THE COMING WEEK AND WE WILL KNOW WE HAVE YOUR BLESSINGS. THANK YOU
This game reminded me why I was so fucking happy that Justin Upton left the division. What a massive pain in the ass.
Shocked by those #s....sure feels like he's done way better than that, but of course the big hits are remembered more than the outs.
I recently talked about how Taylor should start playing more SS in case we pick up a guy like Stanton or even just a Granderson. Of course this is if Adrian cant play well down the stretch. Because if he can Granderson makes less sense since he sucks vs lefties too. Turner goes to 1B, Seager to 3rd, Taylor to SS, with Bellinger and Puig in CF and RF, Stanton/Granderson/Ethier in the LF/DH role, and Utley/Logan/Kike/Barnes platooning 2B and Grandal/Barnes/Farmer handling the C spot. I would like to see a Dodgers lineup that consisted of just their slash lines for both lineups. SS: Taylor/Seager 3B: Seager/Turner RF: Stanton/Puig (of course drop Puig in the order vs lefties and move up Taylor and Bellinger to their more usual spots. LF: Bellinger/Stanton 1B: Turner/Bellinger CF: Puig/Taylor C : Grandal/Barnes 2B: Utley/Logan DH/Utility/PH vs righties: Adrian/Barnes DH/Utility/PH vs lefties: Kike/Barnes That team wont need anything for a long long time if Taylor can hold on to SS for the foreseeable future and continue to play ok in CF. Barnes can easily become the starting 2B to make this lineup even more impressive with Logan and Utley back to the bench.
This is really late because I had a fantasy draft tonight but Baez scares the fuck outta me every time he gets on the mound
Not meant as a knock on Seager at all, as he is right there, imo, as our MVP...but Taylor looks an even slicker fielding ss than Corey. Not suggesting they should change anything, but initially before I realized who was DH, in the early innings, I thought that " wow...Corey looked really great on those balls". But it wasn't. I had no idea he was that competent there. If they trade him, they're crazy.
