Well, gave up trying to manage it.....bought a bottle of vodka for the stretch run. Probably gonna need a lot more before all is said and done.
problem is this nightmare is never ending being a dodger fan is like having a terminal disease the medication may help you go to sleep at night but when you make up the next morning you're still sick
I'm coping by basking in my own correctness during all of this, about just about everything. Hearing Roberts turn on the fans because his pitcher can't throw strikes actually gives me pleasure watching his manager of the year title disappear with every Logan Forsythe plate appearance. Until I hear that cunt take full responsibility for inexplicably tinkering with a winning formula, I'll enjoy the look on his stupid fucking face every time a marginal strike call goes against us. On the subject of me claiming I'm always right, I was dead wrong about that Howie Kendrick guy haha.
doesn't look like it will be happening anytime soon... Roberts proclaimed Baez will play a key role for the team moving forward, according to Bill Shaikin of the L.A. Times: “I can assure you he is going to pitch big innings for us, from now until the end of the season,” Roberts said.
not fun stats... The Rockies completed a four-game sweep at Dodger Stadium for the first time since their inaugural season in 1993 The Dodgers have lost 15 of their last 16 games and 10 straight, their longest losing streak in 25 years They also have been swept in consecutive series for the first time since 2015 The Dodgers finished their seven-game homestand winless and have lost nine straight games at home for the first time since 1987
This is the Giants World Series. We better be ready to play. Small observation, weren't we sticking to a 6-man rotation? If the starters for this series are correct, then we are back to a 5-man rotation?
Im sick all the time so I can take it. IMO all the ones who cant take it are weak fans. But thats just me, I am a glutton for punishment so ive yet to break a sweat over this stuff. Dave is my guy, the Dodgers are my team, these kids are my kids, and if you arent riding hard with us on 9-11 then I dont want to see your ass at the parade. Ok, i will because bygones and I easily forgive... but I never forget. The weak of faith.
Oh I know, I know yall a bunch of little bitches who will jump back on the bandwagon when we start winning. And start sucking each others dick and literally writing odes to the taste of Chris Taylor manly juices on your way to the back of the bus with all the other bandwagon fans that jump on for some gravy train goodness. When you were already at the front of the bus with staff and the captains and could have known what was up from the start. Yall went from thinking you were going to set all time win records and a slew of world series trophies to thinking the team will lose in the first round if they even make the playoffs. I still think we are a good team who has a few weaknesses but a lot of strengths like all the other contenders this year.
when it comes right down to it we just need one game then another i hate seeing all this happen but my frustration is mostly w the lack of urgency thats been there from the beginning of the slide and i know you disagree but not bunting and playing a little small ball probably cost us a couple of game in this dive i just think you need to do everything possible and thats part of the game at least the lineups are starting to be less like preseason we were talking about not taking the foot completely off the gas before this happened how is it the FO or dave or god or whoever just ignored how fickle the process is and decided to fuck w it? we've been playing like its preseason tryouts for the last three weeks and where the fuck is @Bluezoo ????
Profound what? Bitches bitch, that is what they do. That is not me saying it, that is the word saying it. Even in Robocop, bitches know better and bitches leave. Bitches bitch even in good times but in bad times they deserve to be made to walk the plank. Either you row hard with the team in the right direction or you get off the boat because nobody is winning the ship with a guy rowing backwards. Which is what bitching is. Yall were not happy when the Dodgers were winning. Yall got gay. There is a difference. I know some think gay and happy are he same thing, but this isnt the 1920s. You do not experience such falls of faith if your highs were not so full of hubris. Again not me, this is basic stuff. Being happy is great, but yall were way past being happy. It is overcompensating hubris and by law of god, man, and nature there must come a hard fall. Gay Giants fall harder. And we were acting like giant gay fans.
you can't we've invested to much time and emotion not just this year but, for most, our entire lifetimes they're our team and they always have been i've missed work, appointments, even hook-ups to watch them play... and i'm sure i'm not the only one this is what we know... all we know we can't turn away and you know why? because you never know and let me say this... of all the dodger teams i've seen in my lifetime, this is by far the most schizophrenic 19 games left... this team could go 0-19 or, just as easily, figure shit out and go 19-0 so come 7:00pm tonight we'll all put everything else aside and prepare for whatever follows...
Not clear what he's trying to accomplish with Baez. It sounds a lot like what Bouchey did last year with Castilla. Look what happened there. Strange.
For as pissed as we all are about this team and the way they have played lately, there have been some things assumably falling in line. The bullpen should be just about set, each of Watson, Cingrani and Avilan have shown that they may actually be valuable left on left relievers and form a somewhat 3 headed monster in the playoffs ala the Giants when they would throw LH specialist after specialist at you to get to whomever their closer was. Still don't want them facing a power RH bat, but I'll take their recent production along with Jansen and Morrow. That's 5 guys in the pen right there. Then we have the 2 starting pitchers that may be valuable additions as well as both Ryu and Maeda have been very good in relief roles. Maeda in particular has me most excited about this potential move as when he came out in relief, he was living mid 90's with life. So say both of those guys get moved to the pen again where each is expected to go an inning, that's 7 relievers (2 of which can go 3+ in an emergency)with 4 starters, so 11 pitchers. Let's also assume for the regular lineup 8 Starters, 2 Back Up Catchers, Utley, 4th OFer and 1 Utll which leaves us with 13 position guys and 24 on the roster. So of the pitchers we need a RH reliever that could potentially come in mid inning and will only face RH'ers. That is Fields, Baez, Ravin, Stewart and Stripling. That is not a whole lot to get excited about. So they are going to keep throwing each of those guys out in those situations to see who runs with it. Right now Stripling has answered the call, but I am sure they want one of Fields or Baez to get their shit together since both live in those upper 90's.
