see thats the thing the more you fuck the more things like trannies don't seem like that big of a deal i know more than a handful that have gone there scares the fuck out of me so i won't even look at anything i suspect might be out of fear cause some are fucking hot btw i thought that was bridget bardot for a second now thats a woman
I was going to say the same. Sanchez may be a great hitter, but man he sucks at receiving throws to the plate
giles throws >20 pitches when he shouldn't even be in the game houston almost deserves with that kind of stupidity
In a way Hicks is playing for tomorrow. He complained about the carry-over effect earlier in the series where NYY broke loose offensively and carried it over to the next game. He doesn't wanna give them any life late, none whatsoever, wants to keep them down..maybe feels like a young NYY team will carry any late life over into tomorrow. His pitching options for tomorrow are gonna be thin anyway, so he probably wants his offense to keep up what they're doing while keeping NYY cool. We'll see how it works out, but I see what he's trying to do here
love it hope both teams burn up all their pitchers and [0-for-the-lcs] reddick gives up 10 runs in the 27th inning Keuchel to be available out of bullpen for Game 7 by Scott Lauber | ESPN Staff Writer — 48 minutes ago HOUSTON -- Dallas Keuchel will watch Game 7 of the American League Championship Series from a different vantage point: the bullpen. Like the rest of the Houston Astros' pitchers, save Game 6 hero Justin Verlander, Keuchel will be available out of the bullpen Saturday night. Right-hander Charlie Morton will start for Houston against New York Yankees lefty CC Sabathia, but with the AL pennant and a chance to advance to the World Series on the line, both teams will take an all-hands-on-deck approach to deploying their pitchers. "No pitcher is going to be in the dugout. They're all going to be in the bullpen -- myself included," said Keuchel, the Astros' ace lefty who started Games 1 and 5 of the ALCS. "If things get crazy, I'm your man. I'm your man before things get crazy, hopefully." Morton versus Sabathia will be a rematch from Monday night when the Yankees routed the Astros 8-1 in Game 3 in New York. Morton allowed seven runs on six hits in only 3⅔ innings, while Sabathia shut out the Astros for six innings. Verlander pitched the Astros to a 7-1 victory in Game 6 here Friday night. He threw 99 pitches in seven scoreless innings, his second gem of the series. In Game 2, Verlander tossed a 124-pitch complete game in a 2-1 victory. The Astros' bullpen has struggled throughout the postseason and particularly in this series. In Game 4, Astros relievers gave up almost as many runs (five) as they recorded outs (six). Even in Game 6, Brad Peacock allowed a homer to Aaron Judge in the eighth inning, and closer Ken Giles put two runners on base in the ninth before recording the final out. "You're going to see a game played with everybody available," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said of Game 7. "Probably not Verlander. But he's superhuman, so we'll see how he shows up [Saturday]." Said Keuchel: "Any way we can help out, we're trying to get to the World Series. I mean, it's all hands on deck besides Verlander. I think he's done enough for us already."
Dude... if they need Keuchel tomorrow, I hope to god they have to use Verlander too. That bullpen is SHAKY right now and the Dodgers working counts could make for a short series, even with some hot Astros bats.
been going back and forth on which team i'd rather face yankees pen struggled a bit today but they're still pretty solid astros bullpen is their weak link but their offense is pretty formidable still not sure... guess we won't have a choice after tomorrow night lol just hoping for a long, exhausting game
I think the two days off between tonight's game and thge first in LA negates any real fatigue they may feel. I think it is given too much gravitas for a Tuesday evening game. Verlander has been spectacular, imo, but may not be quite as sharp when it's his turn come the 4th, 5th inning against us. If they were playing us on Sunday night, it would be a different story then.
Verlander/Keuchel are stronger than anyone in the Yankees rotation, but the Yankees bullpen is a lot stronger than Houston's bullpen. Altuve/Correa scare me, but Judge-Sanchez are capable of doing just as much damage. I've given up on trying to figure out who I want to win this series. Both Houston/NY seem like different teams on the road...that's for sure.
It happens every year now, someone gets used in a way they are not familiar to and it throws something off. It may not make it so a guy is like 50% of what he could be, but if it means that he is 75% instead of 80%, then I will take whatever we can get. We may not see it in games 1-2-3, but if say we went 7, you'd see the results from a long series like this. It happened last year in Cleveland when Chapman, Miller and Kleuber were all running on fumes in game 7 and each broke down. May not give us much, but I'm rooting for each to get used in this game.
I'd be hoping for our pitching to do semi-decent against HOU if they were hot coming out of this series and that HOU's offense eventually just wears down and can't keep up with what LAD's offense is doing to their staff. Because if that HOU offense is hot, bro, and knifing through our staff..it may not matter what their pitching is doing. LAD's pitching has to hold up. When HOU was on it's early to mid-season run they were pounding teams 14-10, 17-12, 15-13, etc. All kinds of silly scores, just carrying a lifeless pitching staff, so they've proven that they can do it. So I'm rooting for NYY today..really don't wanna see HOU if they're coming off back to back scoring outbursts. Plus, NYY's bullpen is talented, but inconsistent. The scariest part of either of these teams is that HOU offense that's arguably the greatest in the history of the game itself. I mean, I think LAD can beat both..is more complete than both and is in better condition with the rest and all that. But just saying. Judge and Sanchez can bring the damage, but only one of those guys is MVP caliber..both Altuve and Correa are MVP caliber in a longer lineup in general. I can do without the frustration of Altuve doing literally everything in a game at a high level..stealing bases, going 1st to home in a blink, robbing hard hit liners. To hell with him.
after last night it looks like the stros for sure don't think cc is going to fool them again but who knows?
home team has won every game this series no reason to think that trend won't continue tonight... unless it doesn't lol was about to say i know more yankee fans than astro fans... but i don't even know an astro fan -- have never met one tbh i guess even bandwagon-ing has it's limits all that said, i say the yankees win tonight... unless they don't lol
I almost pulled the trigger on tickets to game 1 of the World Series. But it was just way too expensive. After the fees, you're looking at $5,000 for two tickets in the loge level. Ugh. Even if you can afford it (I can't) it's hard to justify it. I could feed a small village with that money. As I've mentioned, I have tickets to game 7 that were purchased at season ticket face value, but I'm not sure I want it to go that far. It would take a week of agony to get to that point and the prospect of losing in 7 scares me so badly. To experience a World Series clinch at Dodger Stadium though... would be incredible.
as much as i want to go to a WS game i just have to face the fact its not going to happen in this lifetime unless divine intervention back in the day i sold so much stuff i got freebies of all kinds but those days are over both for me selling like that and for suppliers doling out freebies like that at least in my world couple of parents at our school are fully connected one guy is a marketing vip of some sort and flies w the team, another just connected i would just like to stand and watch, i've done it before sliver of hope voiced by both sources but if it happens it would only be for one person most likely just let me dump garbage before the game or something and get me inside have tbh $400 a ticket to see a sports event would probably be my max and thats not even close to the truth so fuck me
i just punched in a pair in field 38 for shits and giggles 2.5 a seat plus 1k fees for a 5998 price tag geezus h christ
my ex is like "go ahead its once in a lifetime you've earned it" misses the point entirely even though i could do it i could not possibly enjoy myself knowing i spent a semester of college a trip to quite a few countries or a decent used car 20% of my property tax liabilities motherfucking pos state on a couple of hours at a game? just can't even remotely consider it
yeah me too lets just head up that way and steal a pair you know it would be like the serenghetti w unsuspecting lemmings moving toward the gates a pair of weaklings appears and we pounce from behind an old expedition tie them up and roll em in the trunk enjoy the game and let em go outside the park somewhere it can be done
