Walton heads the list of current intolerables. Absolutely ruins any game he does with his hyperbole and lately, his politics. Liked him better as a quiet stutterer.
He had another one without Walton, I think it was the immediate reaction right after the trade, but it was pretty good
I'd really love to see that pick fall out of the top 10. My hopes for success for the this season: The Lakers can play .500 ball for the rest of the year (the hardest part of the schedule is behind them) and finish 16-15 for a 36-46 overall record. They'll probably move up 2-3 spots in the overall standings putting that pick at 11 or 12. That would be success right there.
Tough for me to predict what their record will end up being at this point with the trade deadline approaching and the rumors surrounding Julius and JC. Team could be shaken up considerably, but at the same time they pick up another asset after the draft, so maybe they could wait and pair Julius and JC with the 2019 1st rd pick
Then lets get better by helping the Cavs beat the Celtics and then the Warriors. Cavs get: Lopez, Gallinari, Deng (Lopez and Gallinari will pump the Cavs offense instantly) Clippers get: Randle, Zubac, KCP, Korver, Shumpert, JR Smith, 1st round pick from cavs and one from lakers. (trade big contracts for relief and smaller deals as well as assets Randle and Zubac in deals similar to the Blake Griffin trade) Lakers get: Deandre Jordan, Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, Channing Frye, Cedi Osman, Ante Zizic (get defenders and dump Deng) PG: Lonzo, Bradley, Ennis SG: Clarkson, Hart, Brewer SF: Ingram, Crowder, Osman PF: Kuzma, Nance, Zizic C : Jordan, Bryant, Frye If you add a Paul George or LBJ or some other top wing player to this team in FA and move Clarkson to the bench (or traded) you got a solid and deep team that can score in transition and defend the paint in the halfcourt. Plus you get some former Celtic prospects who will have an axe to grind with Boston.
Ho-hum W on the road in OKC Can they continue winning once Zo is back, is the question..or will the FO keep it together until the offseason
It would be funny if the Lakers end up not signing any of the big FA but the team grows into a legit team from young hungry players already on the squad. Remember when the star was supposed to be Randle but Clarkson became a nice suprise. Then Dangelo was supposed to be the star but Nance still here and now about to win the dunk contest. Followed by Ingram who is coming along nicely and although Zubac is not playing much the team is high on his future. Lonzo is the current starchild but he has Kuzma and Hart surprising all with Bryant ready to be the third surprise soon. PG: Lonzo, Clarkson SG: Hart, Clarkson SF: Ingram, Kuzma PF: Randle, Kuzma C : Bryant, Nance, Zubac Lonzo and Hart at the guards with Clarkson as instant offense off the the bench. Ingram and Randle as the forwards with Kuzma as an offensive spark of the bench. The center position can be a 3 headed monster where nobody has to be a starter. Bryant is the outside shooter/rebounder, Nance the hustle defender guy, Zubac the traditional 7 footer.
they’ve got some young talent for sure they just don’t have that veteran (know how to win/close) presence
Kuzma might grow into that role. Josh Hart might be that guy too. Deep college experience can be seen in his basketball savvy.
